Frankly both movies are nothing exceptional. But I guess from the start we expected OSO to be an out and out masala movie. Farah Khan is known for that and has also promised that to all.

On the other hand with Sawariya...I really do not like the sets in the movie. It looks like a doll house, in no way realistic. But I guess I have never really liked SLB's lavish sets in Devdas either. To me his Hum Dil De Chuke and Black sets were better since they looked more realistic. And ya the story was also not exceptional either. The actors tried their best though to salvage the movie.

I completely hated OSO. Even Main hoon na was 10 times better. Maybe I'm not into Farah Khan's kind of masala films. For me masala films are more K3G, Dhoom 2,etc. Atleast the humour is not forced in them.

The worst part of the movie was SRK's overracting and the blame should go to Farah for creating such a dumb character. I think Akshay or Salman who have more of a flair for comedy would have done much better then SRK in the role. The movie was a total disappointment.

The sets of Saawariya are not supposed to look relalistic, after all it is presented as a fairy tale

If u say oso a typical run then sawariya is another typical story where hero meets da tragic ending as the heroine is in love with someone else.. sanjay just made it look like a fairy tale by changing the atmosphere otherwise its only a repeative story.

Mind u but oso has a better music! 😊

Dear film is a film, if film is liked by majority then definitely there is a quality in it thats why its getting a lovely response 😳 maybe the quaity in oso is entertainment or music star performances and these response makes it a quality film for everyone 😛

By making it look like a fairy tale in a magical world is what made it different, the story may be the usual boy meets girl but it still was treated differently and told in a different way....OSO just follows the masala formula

The response to a film does not make it to be a quality film, it only makes it money! lol

A quality film is recognised in terms of its creativity not by its money making abilities.

My personal view on this is that saawariya is a much better movie than OSO.

I felt that OSO had forced humour which I did not find funny!! Whereas saawariya I found raj's character quite comic especially his scenes with lollipop which were just hilarious. Gulab's character was just so sweet and humorous at the same time.

I know that the movie's storyline is a bit old and familiar but I loved the way SLB portrayed it. This was not a typical movie as I have never seen a movie set in such a majestic setting. All the scenes were just so magnificent.

All the actors were great esp. Ranbir, who was 100 out of 10. Even though, it was his first movie I thought he portrayed his character better than SRK did in OSO (please don't shoot me for saying this because it is just my individual view.)

I adored Sonam's look in the movie, all the costumes esp., Gulab's were just so stunning.

Although this movie has not been as appreciated by the critics as much as OSO, I found it to be more enjoyable. And that is the reason why I am going to watch it once more with my sister tomorrow. Can't wait!!!

My advice to everybody is that they should go and watch as they may just love it like I did despite the off-putting reviews.

Excuseme, it has definitely something appealing thats why many people r liking it 😃 u can also call it a creativity 😉 and oso background is also creative so what if its not BLUE all over, with no sign of sunlight 😃

Its the quality of the film that its doing well, if it was stupid then it shouldnot have earned so much money..

First of all i never said that OSO is 'stupid' and secondly even bad films break even at the box office.

Its making money because of SRK.....i respect your view but i don't see an ounce of creativity in OSO from the sets, to the costumes to story lines....they are all taken from past films (even the dialogues)......its masala for the masses who like to stick with the normal forumula (which isn't a bad thing sometimes).
