Well I would not believe a paanwala who would state that actors come to his shop. The paanwala could be doing it for publicity. If Hrithik says he smokes, I would believe it. Else not.

Any news is a gossip unless it comes directly from a star. So paan-wala or Mr. Jha doesn't matter here.

Got a light, Hrithik?

Hrithik Roshan has always said that he doesn't smoke. Yet, we ran into Kalandar paanwallah near his Juhu residence who told us that Hrithik drops in at his shop for a smoke regularly. Hrithik Roshan Yesterday we were at a cigarette shop on 12th Road at Juhu, when we stumbled upon a piece of information that really startled us. The cigarette shop is located just behind Juhu Gymkhana and is in the same lane where superstar and India's superman Hrithik Roshan lives. It's just seven blocks away from Hrithik's house, to be precise. While smoking at the shop, we struck up a casual conversation with Kalandar paanwallah, as he is known, who seemed more than ready to chat with us. Since he is located in the heart of Juhu, where many of our celebrities live, we casually asked him about his celeb clientele. And he proudly told us something that left us pretty surprised. "Many actors come here, actors like Hrithik Roshan, Fardeen Khan, Dannysaab," he said. When we corrected him and said that Hrithik does not smoke, the paanwallah became adamant. "Of course, he does," he said. (Yes, despite our surprise, we did remember to push the 'record' button on our Dictaphone and record him.) Now, we've always known that Hrithik neither smokes nor drinks. And here was Kalandar paanwallah saying that he buys and smokes Benson Lights quite regularly at his shop. The paanwallah, who by now was convinced that we were a couple of die-hard Hrithik fans who had come in the hope of spotting some stars at his shop, really warmed up to us. He went on to describe how Hrithik and his group of friends used to frequent his shop in big groups earlier, but that rarely all come together. Now, apparently, each one comes to his shop separately. Kalandar Paanwaala Not so long ago, Hrithik had told a journalist from bharatmatrimony.com, "I drink lots of water and stay away from alcohol and cigarettes. I believe nothing is bad in moderation but things like smoking and drinking are difficult to moderate." ok hrithik has never said tht he doesnt smoke.....i've read his interviews and he admits tht he occasionaly does have a cigarette---he's not addicted to it lik SRK or Ajay Devagan but he does have the occasional puff.....BIG DEAL! it doesnt make him a bad person!

AS for drinking---he has a fettish for red wine......thts it!

Ammu, I have no proof about any actors other than what I read or see so posted one which I read and also there was a piece on Zee-Bollywood news where they mentioned the same thing and showed the paan-shop. 😃

BTW a friend PMed me just now to tell that Hrithik buys cigarrettes for his wife😆.

I really hope, from the bottom of my heart, that the people who wrote this article are not educated journalists because that would be such a waste... to write about who smokes and who does not after getting educated. 😉😆

^^why dont u give it a rest......how does hrithik or sussane's 'smoking' have to do with anything related to the topic.....It certainly doesnt make him or any1 who smokes a bad-hearted person.besdies, there's no such article stating tht sussane smokes.
If u really want to talk abt stars n their various addictions why dont u open a separate topic for tht instead of digressing away from this topic?

I am not sure if you are addressing this to me or someone else. If me, then trust me, I find this utterly ridiculous. I can care less about who smokes and who does not.

I was being sarcastic when I talked about Suzanne. I was just mocking fun at people who have time to write long articles about paanwallahs. 😃

Isn't this forum all about gossips? People are just having fun. It is not like Hrithik's life depends upon these comments. Everyone is not the same. So give it a rest you too.

I don't know if he was joking. May be he was. I don't think any sane lady smokes during pregnancy. As for other times I don't have a problem with anyone smoking or drinking as long as others are not troubled by it. I drink😊.

And seriously, even if Suzanne smoked, why would Hrithik go to a road-side stall to buy cigarattes? Whatever happened to maids and servants?

And, I thought that rich people in India had 3478187 servants

I am sure this is all a joke... work of idle writers of gossip magazines...
