Urmila Matondkar and Preity Zinta visited the famous, Lalbaughcha Raja in Mumbai and ended up in problems. The actresses had visited the Ganpati pandal on separate occasions - the difference was that Urmila's was a low key visit, while Preity came in with a horde of body guards.
An organizer of the biggest Ganesh mandal told us, "Urmila wanted to attend the maha aarti in the evening and had come alone without any photographers or security guards. But as news spread of her arrival, a huge number of devotees simply rushed in to get a dekko. Just after the maha aarti was over, we took her out from a special exit. But as she came out she realized her shoes remained at the entry gate, she was therefore again escorted there but unfortunately her expensive pair of footwear had gone missing by then. She remained calm and without complaining went to her car barefoot. She was there for almost 2 hours at our mandal this time."
On the other hand, when Preity Zinta came in, a lot of ruckus took place because of her body guards. We had hired special private security guards to ensure no issues happen because of her visit like they did when Salman Khan had earlier visited us. But she came in with a huge group of private guards. It was okay with us. But what got us irritated was that, barring Preity, all her guards entered the main pandal where the Ganesh idol darshan is taken, with their shoes on. We requested them to remove them but they were in no mood to oblige. They first wanted to go inside before Preity to check if everything was alright and did that with their shoes on. But Preity was very humble; she had already walked barefoot from a long distance where her car was parked. She thanked us all and promised to make a visit next year as well," the organizer added.
