i wanted abhi and rani.. but he is love with ash and married to her.. so that is reality.. no use of dwelling in the past 😳

Well it was first love and he was young. It showed on his face. Now I guess he is more self controlled about these things. I am sure he had a tough time getting over Karisma. But I always liked them...sweet...Abhi looked a thousand times cuter then...a million times hotter with Rani and a zillion times yuck now...chubby and hairy!!! 😆 😆

But no matter who is married with whom and how happy they are, the Bachchans definitely were much more nicer, happier and likable people before a certain Ms Rai came into their life. Now they are just a bunch of arrogant people...maybe Ash has nothing to do with it...but the Bachchans' attitude surely has something to do Ash's presence!!!

you can't take 3 pictures and judge as to who abhi was happier with....i mean come on. 😕

Not trying to compare the two -- because there is no comparison... Karishma and Ash come from two different backgrounds so there can't be any proper comparison... So that I can make my point I'll say this much... Karishma came from a family of legacy and wealth not to mention the truck load of controversy ang gossip. She started her career very young and left it at the right time. There were many speculations surrounding the end of Abhi & Karishma - some say it was Babita's interference that did and some say it was AB's choice to not have his new bahu work... Whatever maybe the case -- we'll never find out... Nor does it matter now... But we all know how quickly Karishma was able to find Abhi's replacement in Divorcee - Sanjay Kapur...

Unlike Karishma, Ash is a self made woman who used brains & beauty to get where she is today... She had her share of affairs that no matter how much she tries - it will never leave her... Goes to show she is NOT perfect hence the reason she is grounded. I personally don't agree with what she did to Vivek Oberoi but again can't do anything about it now. Both Abhi & Ash are in a mature and balanced relationship...

Whereas with Karishma it would've been a power struggle. Abhi from the start of his film career to the time of the engagement had NO successful films. The only reason he was able to make it in thew news was for his relationship with KK and the fact that his father's name ended with Bachchan. He was - till then, living under their shadows... And no matter how much anyone tries to deny it, it was there... By the time Ash came to his life, he had tasted success of his films and was getting comfortable with his style. When you see Abhi & Ash today, you see two successful people (well, one more than the other) who are in love and are happy.

Amitabh may or may not have made that comment but he surely has learnt from that experience. This is why Ash is still working and doing what she loves to do. Why should women have to be the first to give up on things they love -- the moment they step into matrimonial world.

Thank GOD Mr. Bachchan wisened up otherwise, Ash would've been another to-be bahu he would've lost... Right!

This thing keeps repeating that Karishma wanted to continue work and Bachchans didn't want her to. But I reckon she herself was trying to quit slowly after her engagement was announced...she practically didnt sign any movie after zubedia...and thats when she signed the TV serial....if u remember....I think there is more to it than meets the eye. But yes they would've made a fantastic pair!...and yes her marriage was a on rebound....maybe her pride and slef-respect was more important to her...to protect her pride her ego, of being rejected...for some people heart rules the mind...and that results in such impulsive decisions. while abhishek did a sensible thing by taking his own time before jumping into a relationship.Aishwarya is a smart woman...I thing she makes her moves very carefully. She could not have got anything better than this so she stuck with it!

I just remembered a remark from Jaya and Shweta's on KWK it goes like " Ash is a very dignified girl. She is intelligent and she would handle Abhi perfectly"

So it makes me think that maybe Abhi needs a resting hand on him to keep him guided, focus or simply on track. That happens with many couple. You need an anchor to stablize you.

So I guess Ash is that factor in his life..her being older to him or her being more famous and well aware of internatinal, intelligent would help them in their married life.

agree with loverman40.. she chose wisely, she knew he has the bachchan tag attached... stick with him was the only thing going through her head at that time!!! if hritik was single i can bet my life on it that she wouldve dated him too!!! then abhi wouldnt have been in sight

if you all are forgetting she went against EVERYONE in her family, HER FATHER and at that time no one in their family was talking to them because she had decided to join the industry, and no one from the industry really wanted to sign her because of the controversy surounding her, and no one wanted to mess with the KAPOORS... but she came out of it strong, had her share of struggles.... shes done ALOTTTT for herself and for her sister, that's why kareena has it so easy...

thats very wrong to say, the kapoors have had money from generations, i highly doubt money is one thing theyd be worried about, seriously, if that was the case, why would she date abhi to begin with, and that too for 4 years? and then to top it off get engaged?? what did he have at that time? not even a decent film to his name... there was definetely something else going on that the public doesnt know... so its wrong to assume who wouldve been better, and obviously abhi saw something in karisma that he stuck around for 4 long years...

Just to let you know I am ok with both the jodis - Abhi-Ash and Abhi-Karishma the only one I just do not like is ABHI-RANI

But as you said that Bachchan chaged from Karishma to Ash.

I can only say you require different treatment with different people. Ash is not JUST another woman. She is Ash. She commands respect and to get a DIL like her there must have been some changes as they new what they are getting for their son. (am not a great fan of her but admire her for what she has achieved with her self respect intact)

we can all speculate. but something did go wrong with abhi and karisma.. i mean their engagement was announced and then all of the sudden breakup and karisma moving way to fast and marrying sanjay kapur and everyone knows what happened next.
only god and the kapoor and bachchans know the reason for break up.. we can all discuss this matter over and over and over and over.. and keeping arguing.

for whatever the case. i wish both abhi and karisma happiness in their marriages. 😊
