| Few years back, there came a phase in Bollywood when a number of films were made on the life of the freedom fighter Bhagat Singh and all the films were released at almost the same time. Similar situation seems to have struck Bollywood again but this time the inspiring character is Devdas. Couple of weeks back, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap announced his modern version of Devdas titled Dev D with Abhay Deol planning the lead role. And now, Sudhir Misha has come up with a unique concept for his take on Devdas. Sudhir Mishra informs that his Devdas will look into the present day Indian politics. This film will be produced by Pritish Nandy Communications. Reportedly, Shiney Ahuja is being finalized to play this contemporary version of Devdas. The casting Paro and Chandramukhi is yet to be done. |
