RANI GOT ENGAGED TO ADITYA CHOPRA, SON OF YASH CHOPRA!
Good news for Bollywood industry! Finally, Rani Mukherjee has made up her mind to marry with Aditya Chopra, son of producer Yash Chopra, owner of Yashraj Films. This is another feather in the cap of our Hindi movies; two toppers in the industry - actress Rani Mukherjee and equally shining filmmaker Aditya Chopra, who has transformed the modest Yashraj Films studios into the most modern Hollywood like production house, have decided to tie a knot. According to industry sources, this couple has been following in the footsteps of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan who got married only recently.
The Rani-Aditya engagement ceremony took place in Mumbai on Monday without much of a fanfare since only families and friends were present to witness the auspicious occasion. Rani reportedly wore dress designed by Pallavi Jaikishen. Industry sources wonder if Yash Chopra, the father of Aditya, has agreed to the proposal . You may recall that Aditya has already been married with Payal, and their divorce is yet to conclude. Besides, these sources are amused over this news as they hadn't ever before spotted Rani and Aditya together though Aditya has produced several movies starring Rani Mukherjee under his production house.

Incidentally, Aditya has been said to be unhappy with his wife for quite some time and Rani's working with Aditya in his home production 'Saathiya' and later in many films produced under their banner, including 'Mujhse Dosti Karoge', 'Hum Tum', 'Veer-Zaara', 'Bunty Aur Babli',' Tara Rum Pum' and the next ' Laaga Chunari Mein Daag', seems to have prompted Aditya to divorce wife and engage with Rani.. After that, Rani reduced her work load inasmuch as she is presently doing only three movies. There are rumors taking round in the industry that Yash Chopra is very much perturbed with Aditya's decision to divorce his wife and marry with Rani. These circles say that Yash Chopra has threatened Aditya to disinherit him from his Rs 10,000 million entertainment conglomerate.
However, Yashraj Films' spokesperson Monika Bhattacharya has denied any such event. "It is not true,'' she says. Actor Anupam Kher, who was supposed to be on the guest list of the engagement, has also rubbished the rumor. Aditya, who got married to Payal in 2001, filed for divorce early this year. However, his family was not happy with the separation which even led to reports of a showdown between Yash Chopra and his son. Yash Raj Films has denied these reports as well, saying the father-son duo shares a cordial relationship. The truth will be out soon . Meanwhile, Yash Chopra's younger son Uday is stated to have decided to marry with a Bollywood artist. Yes, she is Tanisha, younger sister of Kajol and sister-in-law of Ajay Devgan. Again, the news remains to be confirmed.
