Bitterness, anger mark John-Bipasha split
Bollywood's hottest couple, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu parted ways because John was not too comfortable with Bipasha's closeness to Saif. Bipasha too was fed up of John constantly questioning her over the matter and decided enough was enough.

One of Bipasha's close friends confided in us. "One of the main reasons that led to the split between the couple was John questioning Bips over Saif. She had always maintained that Saif is a close friend. In fact during an episode on Koffee With Karan she had playfully commented – 'If it was not for John then the only other actor in Bollywood she would get attracted to would have been Saif.' John had no apprehensions then. But few day back when Bipasha came back from Race's (with Saif) schedules in Dubai and South Africa, she encountered a different John, who questioned her loyalty."
"Bipasha first ignored his sudden change in behaviour but after a while when it got out of hand, she opened her mouth and her words hurt John. She questioned his stand of trust when she had stood by him despite his constant philandering ways that had affected their relationship in the past. She pointed out those many instances like the John-Vidya Balan short affair during the making of Salaam-E-Ishq (An afternoon daily had even caught them on camera riding on a bike together) or the John – Sameera Reddy getting closer story during Taxi No.9211, which had lead to big tiffs between the couple. She also asked him what he was up to in her absence with model turned actress Sheetal Menon who stars in the forthcoming, Bhram. Sheetal who had done an ad (Pepsi Diet) with John earlier had started getting cosy with the Kabul Express star, with photos of them hanging out together having started coming out in dailies," adds our source.
"Whenever the couple had fights, John would be the first person to call it quits and Bipasha used to always extend an olive branch despite knowing that it was him in the wrong, for the sake of their relationship. But this time it is final. She has decided she has had enough," concludes our source.
John had switched off his mobile phone and Bipasha was unavailable for her comments when we tried contacting them.
"Bipasha's career is going steady whereas John, who has delivered many flops in a row in past two years, is on a sticky wicket. The whole industry knows how many films the pair were offered to work together but it was he who always declined those offers. He tried that for the upcoming Goal too but Bipasha managed to convince him and they starred in it together," comments an industry insider.
