SRK skips IIFA, attends function with MF Hussain

SRK decided to give the IIFA awards a miss this year as it coincided with his annual holiday with his wife and kids. However, from what we hear, it's not been all play for SRK in London. Khan decided to take out some time during his holiday last Friday to add the finishing touches to an MF Hussain painting, which was sold for 160,000 at an auction held at the Bonhams showroom in London.

Khan's appearance at the event has already has created quite a buzz and not only because of his painting. Speaking at an interview earlier Khan had said he would be taking a well deserved break in London after a grueling schedule involving Kaun Banega Crorepati and his home production Om Shanti Om. "I am going to spend time with my family. And during that time I don't take anybody's calls… Not even my own," the star had joked.

So now one can't help but wonder what made Khan attend this function but give the IIFAs a miss?

Rumours are already rife in the industry that things are not very pleasant between the Bachchans and SRK. IIFA has become synonymous with the Big B and SRK chose to skip the event second year running despite being just a few hours from the location of the main event, one can't help but wonder if there is actually more than what meets the eye.

i dont see what the fuss is, surely not all the actors/actresses are present for every award show that takes place during the year.
Also i like the way they forgot to mention that the auction was actually a charity auction..anyway when it comes down to it,its someone's own personal choice if they want to attend or not 😊

Rightly said di. Honestly there are just too many award shows nowadays and the actors must get tired of attending every single one and somehow SRK always get roped into anchoring at least one or two every year so i think he is allowed to take a break from it all.
