The girl who refused to work with SRK tops CBSE

Any other girl would have killed for even a cameo in a film with Shah Rukh Khan. But Pearl Verma, preferred to choose her crucial Class XII exams to taking up the offer to work with Shah Rukh Khan in all-girls hockey team film titled Chak De India produced by Yash Raj Films.

Pearl who is a sports lover was to play one of the girls in the team but she refused the film and instead chose to concentrate on her education. Must have been some tough decision not to work with Shah Rukh? Apparently not. For Pearl the industry has a lot of scope and refusing one role doesn't mean there won't be any.

And as they say to win something you have to lose something. Refusing this role turned out to be some winning for this girl. Pearl went on to be a CBSE commerce topper and has secured 94.4 per cent.

Chak De India is a film about an all girls hockey team. Shah Rukh Khan plays the coach of this film. The film is produced by Yash Raj Films and is directed Shimit Amin.

I think it was a smart choice! 😃
education is very important for a security, just in case she doesn't do well in movies she has a degree to back her up for other job

i think she did the right thing cause i am damn sure that she was offered the role to play one of the 11 girls . so it wasn't like she had to play lead role opposite srk . if it was lead i bet she would never have refused to do it.
