Aminor fire broke out on the sets of Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om at Filmistan Studios in Goregaon last morning. A short circuit that caused the fire damaged a room that was erected on the studios. However, the fire was extinguished by the crewmembers.

Farah Khan was filming a sequence with Arjun Rampal when a crewmember raised an alarm. The shooting came to a halt and the unit members waited for two hours before commencing work again. Farah says, "We shot on the same set after things were brought under control. Thank God everything is fine." Another source adds, "It's amazing that how these guys dealt with the situation and continued shooting on the same set. For precautionary measures we had an electrician on the sets. He changed a couple of worn-out wires."

Arjun Rampal was later joined by co-star Shah Rukh Khan. A unit member says, "Shah Rukh was not there when the fire broke out. He joined us much later. But he was very concerned when we told him about it."
