That's adman Prahlad Kakar's present for B-Town's beaming couple, who unfortunately won't be attending the shaadi tonight (yes, he's been invited) Ad guru Prahlad Kakar, the man who has often been credited as discovering Aishwarya Rai (remember 'Sanjana' from the Pepsi commercial with Aamir Khan and Mahima Chaudhary?), spoke to HiTLIST about the AbhiAsh wedding before heading for the sangeet last night. Are you ready to shake a leg at the sangeet? (Laughs) I am always ready to dance! Ash asked me what I was going to do for her. I said, 'Do you want an obscene dance or a nice jig?' What did she say? She giggled and left it to me (pauses). I am sad I won't be able to attend the wedding. Soon after the sangeet function, I am leaving for Bangkok for a shoot. No Cash For Abhi-Ash: Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai What are you gifting Aishwarya? I bought a Banarasi saree for Ash sometime ago. I bought it with the intention of giving it to her whenever she decided to get married. And what a coincidence, she got engaged just a few days after I returned from Banaras with the saree. Is it very costly? I wouldn't say that, but it's very pretty. Since you won't be attending the wedding, when will you give her the saree? I've already given it to her. I left it at her door. She sent me a 'thank you' over the SMS. And what are you gifting Abhishek? A box of cigars. Cigars? Does Abhishek smoke? Of course, he does. I started him on cigars a year ago when I gave him a box of Trinidad cigars, which are probably the finest variety. Buzz is that you offered them a honeymoon pad? It was like this. After the engagement, I told them that if they wanted to avoid the jamboree, and elope and get married, I could pack them in a honeymoon cottage in the Lakshwadeep islands. I have a diving school there and that place is at the edge of the world. In fact, it is known as the island at the end of the universe. Nobody would have known where they were. Abhishek apparently considered the idea, but later rejected it. How did Aishwarya react to the offer? She was much keener than he was (laughs). After their wedding is over, they'll probably feel my offer was a better idea! I don't like the carnivals that are Indian weddings. Often, the mantras go on for hours. One reason why Indian weddings last as long as they do is because the couple doesn't think of marrying again. It's such a pain in the a**! Have you met Mr Bachchan lately? Yes. We shot an ad for Binani Cement a fortnight ago and we chatted. Did the conversation veer towards the AbhiAsh wedding? Yes. I asked him 'All set?' He was very relaxed and in a good mood. He smiled and said, 'Work is being done by everyone else. I am just supposed to attend the shaadi.' That's a cool attitude. You have watched Aishwarya from very close quarters. What do you think of her relationships with Salman Khan, Viveik Oberoi and now Abhishek? It's a growing up process that has been very good for her. All her friends added a lot of quality and strength to her life. You don't fall in love with people you don't like. And you don't like people who are not nice. As for Abhishek, she makes a lovely couple with him. They glow in each other's presence. That says it all. Has Ash ever spoken about Salman, Viveik and Abhishek with you? No. When we meet we talk about ourselves! Ash and you live in the same building (La Mer) in Bandra. Security has been beefed up there. Does that inconvenience you? Not at all. There are no problems for residents of the building. There is a good amount of checking happening though, set up by Mulayam Singh Yadav and Amar Singh. Sniffer dogs have been pressed into service. The focus is on sniffing out media people who try to sneak into the building!

Oh dear this guy seemed proud of getting abhi started on a smoking habit. Jeeeeeeeeeeeeez, but I think most actors smoke and drink, well everybody drinks. 😆

i dont think he does because once they were in some foreign country there sunjay dutt and some other people made abhishek drink and amitabh got really mad at them.
anyways,most of them in the industry smoke.
