I wanted to know all about her birthday bash on Tuesday at the Aurus.. and whaddya know.. even the unsociable Ram Gopal Var- ma attended. He swears that the only time he parties is when I call him to my Miami beach house for the weekend. Oh well, so I asked Ramu about the fact that he has competition.. in terms of his Khan heroine at least. My spy at the bash informs me that a certain Mr Singh was all over the place at Aurus that evening.. but his wife and two kids were missing. Mmm, does make me wonder who this Mr Singh is.

So, our majorly qualified source says that Ashutosh Gowariker is seriously asking for a post- ponement of the Abhishek-Aish- warya wedding.. of course, no one knows yet when it is.. or was sup- posed to be.. let Abhi-Ash be guys.. such decisions take time to get right, no? Be that as it may, Ashutosh who's wrapping up his royal epic Jodhaa Akbar with Aishwarya and Hrithik Roshan, it is learnt, wishes the shaadi to be held back till December if not November. Gowariker's Mughal drama is scheduled for release on Novem- ber 9 during the Diwali week.

D irector duo Abbas-Mustan must be relieved now. At long last, they've got the dates of Sanjay Dutt for Mr Fraud which also features Ajay Devgan, Bipasha Basu and Tanushree Dutta. Initially, the movie was supposed to be shot entirely in London but with Dutt's on-going court case, the duo shifted it to Mumbai. According to a source, the pro- duction house Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision wanted to wait till the verdict is out. But since that is tak- ing time, its been decided to shoot the pending work in Mumbai. Denis Selarka of Shree Ash- tavinayak Cine Vision said, "Abbas-Mustan are busy shooting in South Afrifca. Oonce they're back they'll decide.. where they want to shoot. They've already spoken to Sanjay.. the shoot will take place in March." When quizzed about continuity jumps, since the film was supposed to be shot entirely in London, he replied, "It's the directors' call. I'm sure they have something in their mind." Apart from Mr Fraud, the com- pany has roped in Dutt for another film to be directed by Sanjay Gadhvi. "It's titled Kidnap and will also feature a newcomer boy and girl. The casting for the young pair is currently going on. This film will also commence shortly," concludes Selarka.
