Actor Bobby Deol is following elder brother Sunny's footsteps by performing a stunning action scene for Sangeet Sivan's untitled venture that is being shot in Mumbai. Bobby was required to jump down a 14-storey building with cables attached to his body and the actor performed the stunts with elan. Director Sivan says, "We were shooting a scene of a political rally with around 2,000 extras. The scene required Bobby to jump down a 14-storey building. We had first arranged a stunt double for Bobby. But Bobby came to me and asked for my permission to perform it himself. I advised him not to do it because it could have cost him his life. But he was adamant. He just went ahead with it. He did it right in one take. The whole unit applauded the daring hero when he successfully completed his stunt." Sivan reveals that the film is the remake of the superhit Telugu film Athaadu. "One can call it a Die Hard meets Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge. Bobby plays a fugitive on the run in my film. Nana Patekar plays the role of a CBI officer hot on the trail of the character played by Bobby," he explains. The film is 40 per cent complete and the unit is heading to can the remaining portions of the film in one long schedule. The film is scheduled for a late April release. |
