Without any doubt, there is a hunger in the viewers for pure romance film. The angsty , stormy one. I don't know why Bollywood kind of stopped making them. Nowadays they mostly make either Action or comedy. Other genres should be explored too.
Happy for the hit. It's doing great organic business every where now.
Bhai srk is 60 years old... 30 saal se jo bhi debut karta hai toh srk ki health poochta hai.. Phir 2 saal baad unki khud ki health ka ataa pataa nahin hota...
On topic, Saiyaara's success shows that people are so starved for a good romance film that makes you feel. Bollywood ne toh jaise pure romantic films banani hi bandd kar di hain
LMAO.......That is absolutely the truth..... But that happens because SRK is the benchmark in BW.....
But here in this case , this tweet is by an SRK fan....who is asking for his health update because SRK was hurt during the shooting and stupid RCE is not providing any official updates.....
And I am seeing so many SRK fans supporting Saiyaara......and some people think that SRK fans are insecure....
great review, thanks for sharing. i'll agree and i'm also interested to see their next choice of projects too. the leads do have a workable chemistry despite predictable plot. it was an overall decent watch after a long time.Originally posted by: pomegranate
Okay, I was bored and watched it.
So here is the thing; the movie is not path breaking and it is not without flaws. I read way too many romance novels to even consider this "unique" However it just made me feel so many emotions, I even got teary eyed at the end. The infinite love between krish and vaani was at its purest form, and it is always nice to see a sappy love story once in a while. While , it is not the most memorable movie, but it does a great job of sweeping you away into a fairytale. The selling point of this movie Ahaan and Aneet's chemistry, their chemistry together is what made me believe in Krish and vaani's love story. their electric chemistry is the true USP of the movie, not the soundtrack (which is average) or the story(sweet but predictible). very rarely do you find two leads who look so damn good together.
Ahaan and Aneet were good in their respective roles, but they have a long way to go. One movie is not a enough to call them good actors but they were good here. it is however, one of best debuts in the last decade.
Going by the latest Bwood standards, it's a good movie. But touting it to be like Genz Kaho na pyaar hai..umm that's a bit too much. Hritik's debut was fireworks. Ahaan was decent. He has that star factor and bttr than the recent nepo kids but it's not like he made me swoon over...On the other hand, Avneet was an absolute treat to watch. So gorgeous ..mix of Mrunal and other heroines but yes, she was a breath of fresh air. Anyway, I think Ahaan's debut was a longggg wait so it was worth it for him and his family for sure.
The true winner out of this is Mohit Suri. He has that knack of giving that 90s romantic film vibe..a bit of old school romance mixed with current era. And this film could be called Aashiqui 3 but then comparisons would have drawn in. They kinda dragged the end and for a change not predictable ending.
Decent movie, nice to see a good b-wood after long time. The pairing was fresh breath to see and pretty decent acting by both.
Have seen Aneet in Big girls don't cry so it was nice movie so let's see how she progresses going forward. Ahaan also did decent for his role and pretty good in delivering emotions whether it involves dialogues or not. Pretty much emotional coaster ride even though the story isn't something out-of-the-box. Mohit did decent.

Since last 11 years Bollywood is only making war mission desh bhakti religion based movies
Finally saw the movie.A decent romantic drama that works primarily because of the freshness that lead pair adds to the screen .The youthful energy which has been missing in most movies comes alive here which is why it feels like a breath of fresh air despite the clichéd story.
The very start of the film shakes you up .The unexpected tragedy that strikes in Aneets life makes for a compelling watch ..The romance that blossoms between her and Ahaan later has been portrayed convincingly .You completely fall for them.So much so that the heartbreaking twist when Aneet later realizes something is wrong shakes you up totally..By the time interval arrives ,you feel totally choked with the emotional quotient the film has to offer!
The second half unfortunately is bit of a drag..It drives the same point again and again ..Also the pacing gets really slow ..the entire part of Ahaan's fren is totally unnecessary..The film feels stretched at this point .The length is too much .However the film gains momentum in the last 30 minutes when it moves to London. The final conversation between Aneet/ Ahaan is highly emotional.Although this theme demanded a different ending than shown in the climax!
Ahaan has a screen presence and shines like a star..he mesmerized me right from the first scene .He looks the part totally. He is endearing.,Aneet is a breath of fresh air and handles her part like a veteran. Also what an age appropriate casting..
Overall this film wins you over despite offering the same story that has been seen gazillion times earlier..a well made love story never goes out of fashion and this film proves it again ..
