But I would say at the end of the day content is the king. Like you said some movies work because of emotional connection which you can relate to, some for mindless entertainment, some for hype or shock factor, some for popular stars. There is no one thing that works. Movie business is unpredictable. But it is not right to blame audience only.

lets not compare apples to oranges..we are watching them for free here..cannot compare this to a threatrical..more appropriate comparison would be loveyapa..koi kutta bi dekhne nae gaya..5cr ww gross..no one spent money on these 2rs nepos..but will junaid khan and khushi kapoor stop getting work even after a disaster of this magnitude? NO! and we all know why..

I agree to those who aren't really s e a r c h i n g for (probably better) content movies when wanting to get a leave from the day-to-day issues...that may be more something for the so-called movie buffs. Streaming platforms give us an abundance of distraction within the comfort of our homes...when one doesn't live in the close vicinity of a theatre, it always means a (costly?) effort to go to the movies (one can't recreate the 50ies-to-90ies anymore smiley2).

Personally, when I go with the kids, I take something to drink and eat with me (or the kids use their pocket-money to buy popcorn, if the going to the movies isn't a kind of present to them).

Audience made Abhay Verma's film a 100 crore film. How many movies has he signed thereafter? Agastya Nanda is doing a Sriram Raghavan film under Maddock. Ibrahim is shooting a Maddock film with Sreeleela. Where are the romcoms for Abhay?

For those that watched it already, Nadaaniyan is a watered-down version of SOTY! This OTT product will grab a certain young (female) segment of audiences. Moreover, a lot is consumed via OTT platforms, and that is what KJO could be tapping into.

Todays lead actors are average looking, be it insiders or outsiders. People want good content, good music, good script and good looking actors with lots of charm and grace.

This is sad day for Mahima Choudhary, she will now play mother roles and I can't accept that! smiley29
