It's not just that. The teaser looked good. Then you saw the trailer and it was like watching a KRK or HR film trailer. Bas main hi main. She learnt nothing after the debacles of Manikarnika, Dhaakad, Tejas, etc. How does she still have money and how does she still keep getting producers and directors to cast her or finance her projects?

After Queen and TWM2 I actually thought Kangana will be the number one actor in BW. Her over confidence and foul mouth ruined everything. I feel she shouldn't have chosen to direct Emergency. She is a good actor but she requires a good director to direct her & get the best out of her. Here she will end up mimicking Indira Gandhi instead of natural acting which is otherwise capable of doing well. It will be something like The accidental prime minister.

That's true. But in this case the way the film was forced to be postponed because of the negative way it was portraying certain groups of people, it could fail hard as well. Because there will be solidarity amongst them.

Pak bashing doesn't always work. Warna Fighter would have done better business. Or LOC Kargil would have been a super success like Border.

Lol she's directed or produced most of her own films in past few years. Probably cause no one wants to work with her.

Doesn't matter yaar. SRK has a huge fanbase. Yet his movies still flop. Even movies in which he has a cameo don't always do well. Same with Salman. I'm a Salman fan, but you couldn't pay me to go watch Race 3 or Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan or Radhe. I call Hrithik my hubby yet I refused to go watch Kites or Kaabil or Mohenjo Daro.

The propaganda movies and, in fact any movie, can get lots of paid hype anywhere, but today's audience is smarter than that. They want mindless masalas but not all the time. They want female centric films but also not without a proper story. They want propaganda movies that get you hyped up (like Uri or War) but there has to be a timing for that hype.

And the majority of audience members are nowadays waiting for word-of-mouth before rushing to the theatres. Yes, there's still a huge portion that advance books, but after that first few days, the numbers drop because now the WOM audience comes in and they aren't just going to watch any movie for the sake of it. I film like Adipurush did 450 crore or something like that at the BO but still flopped because after the initial advance rush, the WOM audience fell off. Stree 2 so numbers increase because after the advance booking, the WOM audience increased in droves.

Skyforce and Emergency are not generating enough buzz on SM. It's being trolled like nothing. Yes because of the date it's releasing, both movies will see initial success, but I expect that they'll fall quickly after the advance booking audience gives way to the WOM audience.
