In his practice session for the 24H Dubai 2025, Ajith Kumar met with a spine-chilling accident. When he was performing endurance testing, the Porsche 992 lost control and skidded to hit a barrier at a staggering speed of 180 kph. It spun seven times before it eventually stopped, having taken a few hits. As the car lay badly damaged on the track, Ajith got out of the car without an injury, and thanks to the speedy response of safety personnel on ground.

Ajith’s manager, Suresh Chandra, shared a reassuring update on the incident. In a brief statement, he said, “Ajith is unhurt, hale and healthy. He was driving at a speed of 180 km when this happened.” While the update would no doubt be a major source of comfort for scores of his fans, there is still a lot of public concern for the safety of Kumar. However, his team is even reportedly hopeful that Ajith will be participating in the next race. That’s how life in the fast lane goes, right?
