I think Sam Bahadur also clashed with another film and didn't work well. So good decision.

It's not a matter of cowardice (like Surly laughed about) but simply a matter of boxoffice...and the way some other of Vicky's movies suffered from clashes (and not from worth), I'm very okay with a changed date. Dinesh Vijan (Maddock) is a skilled producer.

Chhaava clashing (competing) with Pushpa II, would've just been a dumb and irresponsible idea.

They should release Chhaava on 1st May, Maharashtra Day.

But if it releases on Maharashtra Day it will get hype and momentum. Story is of Maratha King Sambhaji Rao, what perfect than to release it on Maharashtra day.

Jan to April is exam time, what's the point of releasing movie during it.

May 1 is holiday most place cos of various reasons.

There was this thread of people excited in Maharashtra plus jan to April many movies are releasing they should have released it accordingly why announce december when pushpa was delayed to December and now maddock pushes it further

Chhaava was announced for December and Pushpa for earlier this year...it was Pushpa that got postponed and chose the same date as Chhaava already had announced (as far as I know).

Wherever Pushpa II is going for a date, Chhaava needs to avoid.
