Parineeti refused some amazing movies. But her entire focus went to weight loss and looking thin. I wish she had a good mentor because it is very easy to lose focus. She is in her late 30s and it is not too late to realize. She is more confident with her weight today than she ever was. I am so excited for her new movie 🤩

It wasn't always her fault. I know she was up for Piki and Dear Zindagi. But one of those movies she refused because KJo promised her a film with Ranbir. She blocked off dates for that film and couldn't do either Piku or DZ. But KJo never made the film and he never had any plans to make it. He just didn't want Parineeti to sign that film. He did everything possible to sabotage her chances of success to clear the way for Alia.

Parineeti and Ranbir were supposed to do Mr and Mrs Tapori for KJo. This film got shelved but it's the one she chose over Piku for KJo and RK.

Recently, Parineeti appeared on a chat show, where she revealed the truth behind this. She said, "I didn't really turn down the film... there was confusion. I was going to do another film at the same time and then that film also didn't happen, so it was my loss." Well, it is a big loss, Pari!

People online have also said that Mr and Mrs Tapori was originally RARKPK. Meant for Parineeti/Ranbir, it was shelved but revived later for Ranveer/Alia. Honestly, Parineeti would have been a better casting for Rani. That's two Bengali roles she lost out on between Piku and RARKPK.
