Salman wants nothing to do with Vivek

Aishwarya Rai may have moved on but Salman Khan seems in no mood to forget the past. He is still pissed off with Vivek Oberoi for attacking him in the media two years ago about his relationship with Ash. Despite several attempts by the star to clear the air between them, he is still snubbing Vivek. Here we track the number of times Vivek extended a hand of friendship but was snubbed by Sallu.

After Sallu returned from jail…
Last year when Salman was in jail (in the black buck case) and his ailing mother was admitted to Leelavati Hospital, Vivek went to meet her with his father Suresh Oberoi. Apparently, Suresh spoke to Salman's dad Salim Khan and tried to broker peace between the two. But, when Salman came out of jail, he did not get back to Vivek. He did not even send any feelers through their common friends.

Snubbed Shaad for taking Vivek's side…
Vivek's good friend, Shaad Ali, who directed Vivek in Saathiya (2002) also bore the brunt for taking sides in the feud. Few days back, he was snubbed by the Khan at choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant's birthday party. Salman Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shaad Ali, Bipasha Basu, John Abraham and Rani Mukherji had attended the party where Shaad was given the royal ignore by Salman. He refused to acknowledge the Bunty Aur Babli maker's presence. Khan was obviously upset with Shaad after the director sympathised with Vivek during their infamous face-off involving Aishwarya Rai.

After the Ash-Vivek breakup…
When news of Aishwarya breaking up with Vivek became public, Vivek tried his best to end the cold war between him and Salman. Apparently, his close associates even tried spreading the word that Sallu smsed Vivek saying, "Ab tere life se panvati gayee..." But, Salman did not utter a single word anywhere regarding this nor did he try to clarify the truth.

While the two were shooting in Dubai…
Both of Aishwarya Rai's ex lovers were shooting in Dubai for David Dhawan's Partner and Ahmed Khan's Fool and Final respectively. While Salman was working with his brother Sohail, Vivek was shooting with Arbaaz Khan for Ahmed Khan's film. During the shooting schedule, Vivek tried several times to meet Salman, but Sallu was not interested. All of Vivek's attempts were in vain.

Why is Vivek grovelling?
Industry insiders feel Vivek's career is headed nowhere from the day he took panga with the shirtless wonder. He is desperate to get back in the main league after a string of super flops.
