So the question remains the same here that why media and film credits calls her kajOl in Bangla pronunciation and not in her Hindi name kAAjAL like her family do and all of the ferternity as well, and also when she is working in Hindi film industry and not in Bangla industry? (Also she is not even full Bengali, just from Father's side, her mom is a Maharashtrian).

It's her birth name that's why. Kajol is her given name, but it is pronounced as Kajal. She's not going to change her spelling to Kajal or Kaajal just to fit how its pronounced. Her mom chose to use an "o" instead of an "a" to spell her name. It is what it is.

Ppl get used to using correct name when media pronounces correctly so audiences repeat it.

John's Zoroastrian birth name is Farhan he got baptized n changed to John. So many actors changed their complete name for acceptance.

In earlier says too many muslim actors changed to hindu name for gaining acceptance like Madhubala, Meena kumari, dilip kumar , Ajit etc.

Kajol is the weirdest case. All of her names have alternate spellings. Her last name Mukherjee became Mukerji. I remember Rani said she legally changed it to Mukerji.

Then even Kajol's married name, Devgan, has changed spelling. Now it's spelling Devgn for Ajay. I was watching U Me Aur Hum and both Ajay and Kajol were billed as Ajay Devgan and Kajol Devgan. But now the spelling is just Devgn with no A. Where did the A go and why take it off?

Not necessarily if it comes to the person itself...the name changes a person - legally or illegally - can do prove that...the pet names given...the nick names given...familiar abbreviations of a name given...the profile names given in social media accounts...

Identifications may be partly, but I doubt that even you yourself would (only) identify yourself through your SH name here...

Karishma,Ajay and Kajol are few of those I remember who changed spelling of their name as some sort of superstition.

No my friend, kaajal can not be spelled as kajOl

That's bengali pronouncistion only with O

E.g. there is kaajal agarwal in south and she is called kaajal just like kajol mukherji but spellings of her name is kaajal.

Its not just spellings but we the audience and media/papparazi photographers always calls her name in bangla pronounciation kajOl , but her entire family and entire film fraternity always address her with her name in Hindi pronunciation kaajAl....

As if all of us viewers and media r only from Bengal, and all her family n ferternity r hindi speaking only...😂
