IDK if I'd be able to explain it well but certain section of fans feels some sort of validation by putting the person down who they know are much better than who they stan. Even when social media wasn't a thing or so toxic, I always thought whoever joins entertainment industry, whether they are angels or devil, better or worse they'd always have a set of audience who hates them for no reason while another set who defends like their own life depends on it & it's true.

Like a mirror you know. A self insert. Also, there are those who can't seperate the actor(individual) from their character (role). So, when they like someone they think they must milkwash their idols personality no matter what. & No! It has nothing to do with one's age. People know what they are doing. Some try to sound so edgy, so proper but at some point they end up giving away the fact their so called criticism comes from their pur hatred towards the person.

Deep within they know who are real & who aren't. Hence, they think if they nitpick everything about a person does however right or wrong it is, it'll become a truth. Like a bunch of people lying about something can make people who knows the truth, doubt it. It's kind of manipulation.

I, often find people calling DP insecure & actually what not! While they be stanning idol made with 60% lies, 20% hypocrisy, 20% plastic mask of goodness. But I don't see it making any difference to sooth their favourites' image which is .. lol anyway. Just like noone is 100 good or bad, the same way everyone knows who is right & who is not!

Trolls will be trolls. Shaming a woman for her choice in life about which she is loud is NOT equal to calling out others for their obvious wrong moves/doings. But bro! We are not human if we aren't playing tit for tat or provoking others because why not! 🥴

The word "fair" isn't something that would come into my mind when I read bashing/demeaning/trolling comments/posts ...

Basically I agree with Priya because what she writes relative to Deepika is - in similar form - also valuable for other actors/actresses discussed here.

It's a choice one makes to either focus on negativity or positivity, to be judgemental or to let be, to generalize or not, to favour allegations or verifiable facts, to lash out or to ignore etc.

I think, in social media, everyone is responsible for the own choice and everyone exactly knows why one acts/writes the way one does.

Hateful things (negativity) doesn't make the world better, never ever, not even the own one. Mankind knows that since ages, but the d-evil inside each of us doesn't stop to try to get the better of the good in us... who wins the battle is the own decision.
