No way they don’t have house keepers and cooks and assistants who would make sure his lunch and teeth are all taken care of. So either she’s lied in her book to seem relatable to the average wife and mom or the man had issues with bigger things like her going back to work or writing a book or basically having a life outside of him. More than likely both.

@BOLD:

Bharat is exactly like her father except he didn’t legally marry twice. She did same mistake that her mother did ie marry a man who is a chauvinist.

Why didn’t she check if he’s supportive of her career or not? She should have gotten married to an actor like Kajol or Bebo.. and had wonderful time juggling both marriage and work. Anushka is happy producing movies, acting in Biopics, etc

In a patriarchal society like India, many families no matter how rich they are or progressive they are, do not like / want their DIL to work in BW industry unless they have a supportive husband like Ajay D, Saif Ali K, Sid M, Abhishek B, Virat K, etc.

It is very natural for a husband to feel this way because at that time, I was consumed with Radhya’s playschool fiasco and feeding Miraya, and I was also between writing my book and dealing with my production meetings. So, he felt neglected. And I immediately noticed the error of my ways. I remembered the times when Bharat had asked me for a new toothbrush, and it had slipped my mind, or when his shirts hadn’t been pressed or when I sent him off to work without bothering to check what he’d been given for lunch. He’s a man of very few needs, and if I couldn’t look after him, there was something wrong. I quickly made sure to rectify it.”

“Bharat is different; he tells me directly, to my face, if he senses a problem.

Now i do not blame her for feeling the burnout. He could not buy his own toothbrush??smiley22 These are plain basics that college students can do. I thought Esha was spoilt but this guy gave spoilt a new definitionsmiley37

He may even have toxic or narscistic traits. Even though they looked amazing together, good for Esha to make that decision. She is not only a writer but she is also busy with tv shows as a judge. He should not felt neglected and instead helped esha with baby#2. It was not her job to look after her husband. He is a grown up man who can take care of himself. He definitely should had hired a personal assistant and it said Esha blamed herself for something she should not had. This was a toxic marriage, sadly. Just because 2 people look good together does not mean they are good for each other.

I think she was too naive and in love. He may had promised that he will support her career but later he reminded her that a good wife must obey their husband. He did made her feel guilted for neglecting her when he should had helped with raising a baby chores.

Everyone's talking about Esha's career. What career? She has nothing going for her.

Didn't knew rich housewives too have to look after these things. Weird.

Rich people have house managers who look after everything.

I think there have been rumours for some time now that they're separating. I feel for the kids..they're really young.

What about ppl who work abroad for decades alone while wife and kids are in india

What about IT professionals who go abroad alone and work for years and no wife to cook clean mop buy or even in fever and even in diabetes and BP etc who takes care of those husbands do they not work alone for years without wife to take care

Its a given that when kids are small till they are 16-18 years mother or the wife takes care of them 80% of her time except if hubby is sick etc

Nowadays husbads cut veggies wash clothes and vessels and mop sweep at home i did not know all this should be done for husband who is 40 plus years

Anyways, on the topic. best wishes to them - whatever works and keep them and family happy.

My thoughts exactly. who even read these books? lol

And as for the 'neglect' part... if that was real, it's umm I just don't know how to put it nicely... very pathetic of him. As a father of two myself, I can certainly say that parenting requires a partnership. You certainly can't expect things to be the way they were before having kids...because kids consume a lot of your time and leave you with no energy.

Btw, Hi Nishita. How are you?

Good on her for ending it rather than stick it out in an unhappy marriage like her father and older half brother. But what she gonna do now? She was never an actress. Her face is melting off. She got any talents?

It is hard to believe she did not had a helper. And her ex husband is a rich business man. Either she is lying or it just makes no sense.
