Dunki is in the top four highest grossing films SRK has ever made along with Pathaan, Jawan, and Chennai Express. It is part of SRK's 2023 hat-trick comeback and his personal fav of the 3 movies he released. Pathaan was made for female audiences, Jawan was made for male audiences, and Dunki for himself. For purist SRK fans, this was the real return to form for him.

KANK was one of his biggest hits when it came out, with an all-star cast, and the biggest film overseas. Snubbing this film is like ignoring Silsila in Amitabh Bachchan's filmography or in Jaya or Rekha's filmographies.

Both films netted him Filmfare nominations. IMO, any film that he received a Best Actor nomination for, should automatically be included in the list and that is a basic bare minimum.

As for Happy New Year, I voted for that as well even though it's not a favorite but it was a big hit. I don't think it's a must-have like KANK and Dunki but it would be nice to feature as well.

I didn't see the other thread so I didn't realize you first started off with 44 films and asked people to remove 12 films. I think removing Pardes was a mistake. That was a huge hit, has some of his iconic songs, and would have netted him a Filmfare nomination if he hadn't already been nominated for Dil To Pagal Hai. It's certainly better remembered and regarded than Koyla which came out the same year.

I'm also in shock that you didn't include Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, which SRK has repeatedly said is his favorite film of all time. He won the Best Actor (Critics) award for this and many have said this was his greatest performance, SRK included.

Paheli was also a popular film of his and the one India choose to send to the Oscars, causing a controversy because it was picked over Parineeta. He didn't get a Filmfare nomination but he got a Best Actor nomination for Paheli at basically every other awards ceremony.

If it's easier for you to narrow his film list down to 32 films, you might also want to consider just picking the ones he's received Filmfare nominations/wins for. That shortens the list with more exclusive criteria down to 33 so you would only need to remove one movie (maybe Deewana because it was his debut but only a supporting role or Baadshah since his nomination was for Best Comic Performance?)

However this does mean that some of his popular films wouldn't be included, namely Pathaan but also Dil Se, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Karan Arjun, Pardes, Paheli, Josh, Happy New Year, etc. so keep that in mind.

Why do we have to cut the list can’t we do with all 44 it’s an even number

Also please can you randomly generate the two movies for the polls otherwise it’s unfair if you do something difficult like k3g vs ddlj as both are his top movies

round of 44 wouldn't work. the only way for it to work with a higher capcity then round of 32 is if we did a round of 64, i don't even think SRK has 64 movies lol

Yeah, i use a random generator to decide the matches. the big films are seeded so they don't meet until the later rounds, similar to how i did Salman's tournement which is why HAHK/MPK/Bajrangi etc didn't meet till towards the end

Exactly, you are removing some good films. What if one of those movies is destined to win?
