exactly. People diverting this issue by dragging other stars n naturally others will defend those who dragged and it’s derailing the topic which I seen in some other topic which I ignored where a fanbase was dragged when something questioned on this movie. It’s best to just stick to the topic at hand

Can’t take them seriously at all.

Sure, there's a conversation happening, and activists are speaking up, which is great – there should be healthy dialogues about the dangers of movies like Animal. But the fanatics on this forum are just opportunists. Their frustration and anger seem to stem not from the violence and misogyny in the movie, but rather because their favorites didn't star in it. smiley36

Seriously......I was told yesterday .....that when a woman gets raped....I should rejoice Bira's acting.....like WTF??smiley11.....Like WT actual F???..smiley11...If in real life someone would have told me this......I would have taken them to the cleaners to get their dirty mind cleaned....but this is a forum and there is only so much one can say....smiley24

True.

Most members are hypocrites here irrespective of the fanbase. And jealous of other stars successes. Not all but most. Off course they will deny. But something similar comes up for their favourites they will keep quite and let it pass 😂

OT yet to see the movie. From the trailer it looked like about father-son relationship and lot of violence. Violent movie should not be a problem. But given his history Vanga certainly can put some scenes to trigger certain sections of audience/critics but hard to believe that could be the main theme of the movie and not the father/son and revenge/violence story arc.

Let them be desperate and find other ways to defend this misogynistic women degrading film. Let’s stop providing the relieve that they are evidently so desperate for. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

That person tagged me in their first post mentioning ranveer, obviously to try and get a reaction out of me, I didnt even bother responding to them coz I knew what they were trying to do.

It had been similar to me...I even imagined a possible story...

Generally, I wouldn't have objected to the director to trigger reactions as I've nothing against provocation as such...it's the motivationwhich is important to me.

Now, what I get through reading (and my watching of his debut movie Arjun Reddy):

Imo, Vanga betrayed and deliberately mislead the audience. He promised a father-son story but failed to make it relatable throughout the movie. He used hyped forms of violence - without distancing himself (e.g. the use of a huge machine gun - good as an exaggerated phallus symbol - had been taken serious). The protagonist's tendency for overkill had been used to make him a deranged psychpath but this person's portray wasn't comprehensible. Instead he was designed as someone invincible dealing in a so-called Alpha-male-way with severe health issues, marital issues, enemy issues - without all this being grounded in a coherent story.

At least the 2nd half was for show...violence for show, sexism for show, wasting a good co-actor and a good co-actress ...for show...an almost two-hours-long director-ego-trip.

Vanga didn't make a movie for the audience, he made a movie to dupe the audience laughing all the way to the bank.

To me, that is reason enough to support nothing that has to do with the movie...it hadn't been made to entertain an audience...it is Vanga's personal revenge at the expense of the audience.

Ranbir wanted to do a movie with Vanga and for Vanga, he became the perfect 'means to an end'...not more because he didn't give Ranbir a well-done story and/or character arc like he did with Arjun Reddy.
