The real problem is, when UNDESERVING nepotistic babies, get unlimited chances to "improve". I will give you an example. The Archies kids SUCK (Khushi-Suhana-Agastly) they are simple TERRIBLE. However, because they are nepo babies, the industry will give them 100 chances to "come back and improve" - the same way duds like Abhishek, Arjun Kapoor, Ananya and Janhvi never seem to run out of opportunities.

THAT is the problem. Why are UNTALENTED nepo kids, forcibly given multiple opportunities? I understand if you are so and so's child and get a movie - fine, I get it. BUT....why is it okay for them to be bad and continue to receive offers? And more importantly - with all the access and resources WHY ARENT THEY GOOD? Some of them cant speak, cant dance, cant do anything.....WHY? Why are they not better prepared? How dare they join the industry and " learn as they go"? Its one thing to GET an opportunity, but another thing to get an opportunity and having done no hardwork to make the most of it.

THAT is the problem. You have people like Tripti Dimri, Rajkumar Rao or Sanya Malhotra - who are great and amazing....ON DAY ONE itself. Why do they have to show up and be amazing on day one? but Ananya and Suhana can bring their wooden faces everywhere and be celebrated?

If you're going to give me a Hrithik or Rani, then I am here for nepotism. But dont give me a Ananya, Khushi or Suhana and expect me to be okay with it.

And also - some people with their "I am fan of their parents so I will automatically root for them" - Seriously? Are you dumb? Whoever thinks like that, you are the problem with the world and a true manifestation of bias.

Main point - if you are nepo and get a movie, I am okay with it. But if you are horrible on screen and haven't' done any prep or hardwork- you need to disappear and spare us all.

In 80s and 90s what happened was nepo kids got lot of opportunity before they hit jack pot or started real acting

Like sunny deol till he got arjun or ghayal was a wannabe

Like sanjay dutt till he got naam or kalnayak did not click or act much

Like rani mukherjee she was horrible in first 4 to 5 movies till she got KKHH and later too in many movies she was horrible. Please watch her horrible OTT act in bichoo movie it was too much to bear. Only bobby deol saved that movie from drowning with his serious act. It was not till 2002-3 that rani mukherjee really started acting real acting.

Same for kajol. Look at her horrible screaming act kyun baba kyun in Gupt it was so OTT wonder how she got best villan award? Kajol was hit because of SRK else for long time she did not knew much acting or was very average.

Same with saif, akshay, ajay devgan, karishma, raveena etc a whole line of nepos who got chance after chance for 6-7 years before they actually started real acting. Ajay devgan would tell dialogues like in sleep most times in movies you must watch suhaag or some or his older movies. Akshay does not know much acting till Janwar or Dosti movie or hera pheri. Salman too does not know much acting. Even amir was horrible in most 80s-90s movies either over act or no acting till raja hindustani or lagaan. I can go on about every actor but see in 80s and 90s everyone got first 5 years or 7 years to warm up and than become success or start some kind of acting. Same is happening in 2023. But now audience has no patience like 80s and 90s viewers to wait 7 years for someone to start acting. TThats the issue now.

The only ppl who knew acting and dancing from 1st or 3rd movie was sridevi, madhuri dixit, meenakshi sheshadri, juhi chawla, srk, manisha koirala etc rest all started acting only after 5 to 7 years in industry and peaked after 10-12 years in industry only. Meenakshi, sridevi, juhi all acted in south many years before they clicked in hindi movies. SRK acted in tv serials many years than only debut in 1990s in bollywood. So they had many years exp before introduced in hindi as hero/heroine. So you cannot call them freshers they had other industry exp in acting before bollywod intro or success

Eh I am not really an insider, I know more commonly-known info. My username doesn't have anything to do with the Devgans, I chose it because as a child my friends and I sold a crappy mixture of spices to gullible foreigners and scammed them - we made like 500% percent profit from that.

If people were more open to watching movies with new stars Alaya has skill on screen. Unfortunately, people are only taking notice of newbies for eye candy, and Alaya does not follow typical Indian beauty standards. She and Sanjana Sanghi have that issue where their features don't really gel with the screen.

(Alaya is the better actress but can't dance, Sanjana can't act but can dance). She tried very hard to get into NYU and it shows. I don't think anyone else who "went to NYU from Bollywood" actually showed NYU calibre acting skills. KJO was meant to launch her in SOTY 3 actually, but she walked out after bagging that Kashyap film and Shanaya got it. Alaya's probably kissing her stars rn.

Strongest nepo is easily Pranutan Bahl. I've seen her work and she's fantastic. Problem is she's horrendously shy and does not get into PR drama. Palak Tiwari's PR team specifically have been trying to emulate Pranutan's styling/face for Palak lol.

Actually now that I'm thinking - Salman Khan's female nepo launches are actually not bad (Salman will launch any loser guy but I suppose he is stricter on the ladies he launches) but gain smaller fanbases.

Even now, Alizeh has not had a disastrous debut compared to Paloma and co.

Like @MintyBlue pointed out Sonakshi wasn't awful but chose the worst roles opposite like Arjun..etc.

Sunny's first film, Betaab, was a huge hit.

Sanjay's first film, Rocky, was a huge hit.

Akshay Kumar is far from a nepo

Ajay Devgan's Phool Aur Kaante was a huge hit

Raveena's Patthar Ke Phool was a big hit

Salman debuted with MAINE PYAR KIYA, a blockbuster

Aamir debuted with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, a blockbuster.

Juhi's first film was Sultanat, but her 2nd film was Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. She worked in a couple of south films when she initially didn't get work in Bollywood AFTER QSQT. But she was a fresh face when she came to Bollywood.

I didn't go over the rest of the names you mentioned because the errors are just too many.

Bollywood is a business. No one cares if you can act. They care if you bring in the moolah.

And that’s the thing….. if they come prepared and are genuinely better than outsiders then why not? But no. They are lazy and entitled. And worst of all, the biggest enablers are some of these SRK/Dharma fans who will support poor talent just because their dna matches their favorite star
