Khushi was better than Suhana although it is a losing war. She was saddled with all the Hindi dialogues, whereas Suhana couldn't even say "me too, I like to have fun" without saying the sounds properly, plus she looked bug eyed during her emotional scene with her dad. Even her "what"? when both Reggie and Archie are confronting her is not convincing. I do think Suhana was much better in the dances though in terms of expressions and she has screen presence - the issue is when she opened her mouth.

People are saying she was better because they are SRK fans and are looking with bias. But objectively, she does not seem like a NYU student at all and most people on Twitter and Reddit also caught that.

Reggie and Jughead will get the most accolades, I have a source on the set and can tell you YRF signed Jughead and Dharma is looking into Reggie - but they are both much older than the rest of the cast and have more experience. But Veronica has been written into the biggest scenes (in fact Agastya was not very happy with the final cut because he thought the movie gave Veronica the best character and not Archie) - such as the entire place turning against her, but she doesn't even seen to be able to do her basic trailer bits.

I actually liked Reggie the best from the trailer. I expected to like Jughead but found him meh.

You may have a point that Suhana is getting softball treatment because peeps are fans of SRK. Will see the movie to decide.

But Khushi actually was terrible. Believe me I'm not saying it as an SRK fan. I thought at least one of Sridevi's daughters could recreate her magic. But as a friend reminded me, they're Boney's kids, too, same as Arjun.

"Theatre" consists of giving indepedent performances on an actual licensed stage. The only person with theatre experience is Junaid Khan, who is performing very soon as a transgender man in his next role in my nearby theatre. He is fantastic. But he isn't becoming a star or trying to.

oh wow. I did searched if she really went to NYU. Like they say you can get a degree but if that's not your passion, you will not be successful. I hope she will improve with the time, even her speeches tells you she is not a confident girl. So I don't know how far will she go. Yes I am looking forward to Junaid Khan movie. In terms of off screen, I don't get a good vibe from Suhana anymore. Zoya's ZNMD was amazing! If she cannot teach her acting, I am not sure which director will and how did Zoya went ahead with horrible dialogue delivery of Suhana? She could had said to Suhana to work on Hindi or hired a tutor.

Jughead is not featured at all in the trailer, but Mihir (Jughead) is by far the best actor there. He plays a big part in the 2nd half but is the smaller character with Ethel, who got 0 lines in the teaser.

She was not good, but I found her better than Janhvi in Dhadak, who had every single person from Farah to Shashank Khaitan directing but still sucked. It actually makes sense why Sridevi wanted Janhvi to debut in SOTY 2, but no one wanted to write the script so it was postponed. With Tiger Shroff Janhvi would have looked better but Ishaan Khattar was so good she looked awful.

Zoya does not generally do amazing with Western facing directorals such as MIH Season 2, where the English dialogues are cringe, so I don't think any of the cast will be at their best in this movie. This includes everyone from Suhana to Mihir. Let's see how the audience reacts to it.

Also Sara was the real winner with Kedernath. Only debut that suited any female nepo. Ananya was basically playing herself in SOTY 2 and barely spoke anything correctly so I won't count her.

I do not think any person has actually had a good debut in the last 15 years. The only debut where anyone "created any magic" was Vidya Balan in Parineeta. Anushka Sharma, Bhumi Pednekar, Shobhita Dhupalia was decent, Deepika Padukone relied mostly on her looks, SOTY was actually written by a very good team so even Alia comparatively, had a "massy" debut. Sonam might have done better if a) Ranbir and b) her mouth.

This is an OTT movie...how much budget would they have? NYU....is a huge deal. Also SRK has filmed for this movie but no one is willing to tell me how. I think he may be voicing someone or he may end up being the person to "save" the park for Veronica.

@Bold. Wasn't he at the burger joint? And asking Tera Kya Hoga, Andrews? And in group scenes? I assumed the one with the cap was Jughead, but I could be wrong about that.

Sara has Kedarnath and ZHZB as genuine hits now. I'm not a fan and don't anticipate I will be one, but to borrow KJo's phrase, if I had to pick a nepo baby at gun point, it would be her.

Deepika can't act, but she had the star aura even in her debut. I don't know how to define it. Maybe body language + looks. Alia was just talked about constantly, esp after that KwK episode.
