I've learned a lot about the Hindi filmindustry throughout the years...and how much got copied/remade/changed when something was taken from the South Indian filmindustry or the ones from the western part of the globe...I saw a kind of arrogance there and I think it has a lot to do with the Parsis and the English occupation (but that isn't a subject for this forum, I guess
)
Anyways, it's not the right thread...it's about Ranbir, right?

You seem to know about South films. Is there any romantic films you’d recommend? I’ll be glad to give it a go.
I would have suggested some kannada movies. But then they have sad endings & as far as i know you don't like sad endings..😅😇

If you have not watched not even 1 South Indian movie, how do you know Hindi version of Ghajini is better than the Tamil version!
Most characters of Hindi version of the movie are same except for Aamir Khan, moreover Suriya worked on, all the nuances of the character and all Aamir had to do is copy it.
I don't think you will like any of the South Indian movies with the preconceived notion you have of them.

I said in the first line that I’ve watched the South Indian version of Ghajini. When I wrote the comment to Pardesi, I said I haven’t completed watching a film. Though I did watch Ghajini (South Version), I did fast forward a lot towards the end. I preferred the BW version because I liked the way the film was presented, the songs and the background music. All those effects plays a significant impact for me. In fact, the comparison would’ve been hard anyway because I watched Ghajini 11 times, that’s how much I liked the film.
I’ve watched Bahubali (mainly on fast-forward because I found it boring) attempted KGF and tried two other films on Netflix (forgot the names) but it just wasn’t for me. There was one film I completed and liked (which I just remembered now) it was a love story but I don’t remember the name. Girl falls for guy and they get engaged, but he dies in a motorbike accident and she moves far away to help recover from the trauma. There she befriends a guy and eventually they fall in love, but then she finds out her dead lover actually wasn’t dead. He was in a coma and her family lied because they didn’t want her to wait for him cos they didn’t have hope that he’ll ever wake up.
I don’t know if that rings a bell but it was a movie that wasn’t hyped up for me to ever find out about it. It was recommended to me. The movies that have been hyped up on the internet and forum has mainly been the masala action films. Those ones didn’t appeal when I made an attempt to watch. That’s why I asked if you have romantic recommendations because the forum only recommends films like Pushpa, KGF, RRR and all sorts of action films. However it’s all good if you don’t want to recommend thinking I might not like the film. Everyone has their own tastes and what they like or dislike.

ALL have sad endings? You can’t recommend one with a happy ending?
Btw have you watched the film I described briefly above? I’ve forgotten the name of the movie.

Happy endings movies are there. Then you may find it boring. You can all me sadist but the sad endings is what makes the movie memorable for me. I watch their happy moments in repeat mode.
For starters you can watch "Mungaru male" in prime. You may enjoy it.
You have preference for good looking leads so hard for me suggest other movies..

I don't remember FF. Do you remember leads name?
The bold part reminds me one kannada movie "Rangitaranga". If you like thrillers then you watch it.
