Kerala isn't much into Bollywood movies. Is this somehow news?

As for literacy rate... because of it, arthouse cinema tends to succeed in Kerala. But try saying that about a Rajnikanth movie. Malayalis like their mass cinema also.

Culturally, Malayalis are different from peeps North of the Vindhyas. That makes a difference.

And also, same peeps agreeing with OP might want to remember right wing propaganda doesn't work in Kerala for much the same reason. When whole India was painted orange, Kerala voted for the Marxists.

It's still playing in Germany...but I like that neither the kids (1 girl, 2 boys who had played with the Barbies & Kens extensively) nor I have any interest to watch the Barbie-movie
