They did...more precisely, Ritesh did. Of course, different dates had been discussed but SRK had been hesitant about this one. But after all he couldn't go against it anymore...it would have given even more bad publicity for Raees (additional to the Pakistani leading actress and the freshly promoted goverment's policy.

It hadn't already been a good climate between Excel and RCE before because of what I already wrote. In addition, SRK had himself badly injured on the sets and then there were troubles with the announced Eid release (YRF sent a note to SRK, that Sultan would also release on Eid as it was the regular Salman release date). The media involvement wasn't a great help either...it had been a mess...

For Raees, Eid would have been a perfect date and it had been announced as date earlier than Sultan but for SRK, there was no question to shift knowing very well what kind of demeaning (social)media storm it would generate.

I honestly think Don 2 was a bit boring til Srk says mujhe jangli bilyan bahut pasand hai (something like that).

SRK fans, serious question. How can you expect him to play this role ? Have you seen the way he walks and dances now? He now has that old man body language now. He doesn’t have it in him anymore. Look at Chaleya song. You can’t tell me there isn’t anything wrong with the way the dances and moves and not to mention his strange upper lip area.

Don needs to be young and charming. Not oldhaggard and edited through CGI.
