I thought he was talking about intellectual property. Bit privileged still but would've had some basis in normalcy.

I *think* he's actually saying don't wear it because it's not actually high end? Give it to someone who won't know the difference?

Ugh. What an arrogant little twit.

But you acknowledge that you were wearing something that’s culturally Chinese. What I’m talking about is a situation where an item of clothing is blatantly taken from another culture or country and passed as “designer.” High end fashion designers have done this more than once.

Ah. Ok. From the designer, yeah. You can't really pass off a kimono or a sari as your creation.

I hope he realizes that people actually do their diligence to find the nakli maal for brand names at sasti price.

There were these jeans shops in Bombay where you go choose your own fabric and pick a style from a fashion magazine - and they would stitch custom jeans for you in a day or two. You got to choose everything from the rivets, the color of the stitching thread, and even the brand label that goes on it. I hope these shops still exist.

The best thing about visiting NYC are the bootleg bags and shoes sold from the back of vans in Chinatown and all.

Not our fault if rich people like to over pay.

Must say Anil would be particularly proud that his children are humble, grounded and very down-to-earth. Not a hint of arrogance and fully aware of their privilege.

Well done, AK. Just like you.

He actually seems very well-read and well-behaved from his interviews. But yes, privilege makes you oblivious to the ground realities.

When did we ask for proof of him being Sonam's brother? Pata hai Bhai humey.

Looks like someone bought a fake copy of Jiju's sneaker brand.

Well even Sonam says she is well read. In interviews she also seems to give n impression that she is influenced by world cinema etc etc.

But somehow both of them come across as pseudo intellectuals who live in their own bubble..far away from ground reality.

Like Sonam said in that chat with RKR..she always seems to be getting roles of small town girls which she isn't..and doesn't know or connect with that environment. So getting into the character is a lot of work for her
