I understand your reaction. but these comparisons go on and on still talking about 'will it or will it not' and even old movies are dragged into it.

I'm not "preaching", I express my annoyance...like you expressed yours about my rant 😉.

I asked "why" and you gave me the reason of that it is also about box office here (anyways, I hardly see any member review...it seems to be mainly about money, money, money - and also about the "organic" ones versus allegedly faked ones...as if SRK or YRF would exactly choose the last one from all the films that did not well before). How do we here know how "organic" those numbers are? Because we get told it and get shown pictures. These are all narratives...but as you said, it's the trade, it's business...it's not the movie, the feeling for it.

I value the feeling, not the money.

Oh Bhai Sahab.....I was expecting close to 25 cr. The 6th day record is 25ish Crore shared by Bahubali & Pathan.

The film has surprised me every day but this is absolutely shocking. 50% higher than the 6th day record is surreal.

"worthy"...what decides that one film is more "worthy" than another? The money? Yeah, great.

It is the money who tells which movie is worthy to get watched/talked about/liked etc.?

So, when a movie earns a looooooot of money, it is more worthy of our attention than a movie that only earns the 10th part of it (or even less)?

I really love all the attention Gadar 2 gets but not because it may become the highest blockbuster of the year 2023 (may it be like this 😊, it doesn't matter to me, my life will not change, this money is nothing to me)...what I love are the feelings of joy and enthusiasm and the urge to go to the movies...

I miss that more members write about what they lived and felt...and only once or twice the day getting the numbers by well known trade analysts.

There is another thread about a comparison...why not to live it up only there?

That’s because there are like 2 real fans of Sunny on this forum and both of us clearly cannot be bothered to litter the thread by copy pasting the Twitter reviews and reactions and the celebrations that are going on out there.The rest are here to celebrate the BO magic the movie is creating and that is what you are getting to see.

I suggest you go back and revisit the Pathaan thread to remind yourself how a mass movie review thread looks like. There is absolutely nothing to discuss about such movies except the way they are being celebrated. And BO numbers are the only way to measure the enthusiasm for such movies.

Can't even digest praise of Pathaan.

In common people's language..what I wrote meant that G2 and P r compared bcoz both r loved by masses and are fantastically well received at the box office. So they are compared to eachother and not some other movie with lesser collections.

Not discussing whether both of them r masterpieces quality wise.

THIS is an achievement..Lower Parel is the new Upper Worli..still cant beat SoBo in terms of snootiness..but the new rich live in this area..and tons of corporate parks there as well..and the high handed folks would only go for Hollywood movies in Lower Parel or a Baahubali at best..never seen a queue as in the photo in PVR Lower Parel before, that too for an out and out mass film like G2.
