Welcome, welcome, welcome! Welcome to the first season ever of Bigg Boss IF. This season is special as it marks the first ever Bigg Boss to be played on a forum with people that will turn against each other by the end.
For the next 24 to 30 days, you all will be subject to various rounds and various tasks along with “eliminations”. At times, I will enter with Bigg Boss Power and change the game on you.
What’s different from Bigg Boss Hindi? There’s no partiality. I will not be coming in and using Bigg Boss Power to make someone win. It’ll be to twist the game and make you all turn against each other. I will also not be doing any Weekend Ka Vaar. There are IF rules that you will have to follow and you will get WLs if you break any unless otherwise specified during a round. There will be no captains of the house.
What’s similar to Bigg Boss Hindi? Tasks or, as we’ll call them here, rounds will borrow heavily from some Bigg Boss favourites. There will be eliminations every few days by audience vote. There will be groupism and you will create your own groups. There will be wildcards. Tasks will be done between groups. There will be one winner and one winner only. There will be nominations - and nominations with twists.
How the game works? Now obviously everyone cannot be a contestant. Only some people will be chosen as contestants and a few people will be picked as wildcards. This will be random. Once I get the full list of sign-ups, I will randomly pick names (using Excel randomizer) and you will each be assigned into 1 of 3 groups. The groups are as follows:
Contestant – 14 people will be randomly assigned contestant and will get to choose from a list of popular contestants on who they want to play for the duration of the game
Wildcard – 3 people will be randomly assigned as wildcard and will be added to the game at any point in the role of any popular contestant from the same list as above
Audience – The remaining people will play the role of audience where they will vote for the contestants that they least like or feel aren’t being true to their contestant as well as they will get to at times be part of the specific tasks/rounds that will be assigned to these contestants
Once everyone is assigned to a group and contestants and wildcards choose their name, we will shift the game to a private forum created by me to give you the feel of being in a house. The private forum will have an introduction thread and all contestants are required to “introduce” themselves there as a way of getting the game started. After that feel free to chat and create topics and bring people into those topics as you want. You will be using this private forum for the next 24 to 30 days as your “home” and there should be constant buzzing to entertain the audience and so that you get saved from eliminations.
Further rules and details will be announced as the game begins. For now, sign up! Sign up ends on Aug 4th 10 PM IST. Do not sign-up if you will just decide to drop out later or if you know that you are going to be a quiet participant then tell me so I can assign you to audience and let someone else have a better chance of being a contestant and winning the title. There will be no extensions to sign-up. If anyone joins after the sign-up date and time they will be automatically added as audience members.
Note that to be fair to everyone, if I host a second season, then those who will be contestants or wildcards this season will automatically be designated audience next season. Only those who are either audience this season or who are new to the next season will get a chance to be contestant or wildcard.
