You are right about act not lasting more than a month. Shikhar Dhawan had married a divorcee but he left her ultimately. Saif married Amrita who was 10 years older than him but left her after 2 kids.

Rekha was labelled a vixen after Mukesh, her husband died by suicide. No man married her again. She was labelled a man eater, crazy and whatnot.

Zeenat Aman also never got remarried after death of Mazhar Khan. She raised her son alone. She has had a few live in flings here or there but lived alone.

I am amused why only women agree to marry any type of man while men never ever compromise or lower their standards or marry or fix a messed up woman. Guess it is all about money. But then, no man is willing to marry a messed up woman even for money, property or huge dowry.

My uncle married a widow with a daughter some 35 years back.

A guy married my friend who has a hole in her heart.

Another relative of a friend married a woman with a limp in her leg

My divorcee cousin and another friend also got remarried

Whoa! Amazing if it's true and not just written for sake of argument.

I hope they all had a good relationship and it was never out of compulsion or pity or lack of options.

I mean, I know a widower with 2 kids in real life, who married a much younger divorced woman (who had no kids from previous marriage), and he dominates her a lot, suspects her, keeps tab on her every movement and even taps her phone calls, and acts as if he did a favour by marrying her.

But I am genuinely happy for any man who has married a woman who may have had some flaws or disease, mental or physical challenge or was divorced or widow or unable to bear kids etc, and did it 'not out of pity' and not for sake of family/social pressure or greed for property or money woman or dowry her family is willing to give.

Good for such men and women. They are absolutely rare, especially in today's times of all options people have and all high standards, expectations people have of their partners.

SK and his wife (Mira) are happily married with their beautiful kids. 😃

Parents even get their mentally or physically disabled sons married just to have someone to take care of them, such wives are treated more like maids. Whereas Parents of divorced daughters never get their daughter married in fear that she won't be able to fulfil her duties towards her husband.

I find that very unfair. Disabled or healthy, everyone has an equal desire of a companion. I wish we all were treated like equal humans instead of being judged.

U even know a girl who got remarried after divorce, and her husband literally said to her that he married her just so that she wouldn't feel bad about being a divorcee.😳

Marriage is partnership grounded in mutual love and respect. No partner can fix the other as a person. You can support each other when one or both have a bad 'phase' in life, which is temporary, but you cannot fix a person per say.

I also don't believe when people say that Marriage completes two individual. If you're severely lacking as an individual or broken in some way shape or form, best to stay away from Marriage and dragging the other partner down.

If anything Marriage is meant to 'compliment' each other, whilst both partners are whole and healed individuals.

Shahid is way out of line if that's the view he has.

Exceptions don’t make the rule.

It’s like interjecting a conversation about women’s problems with something like even men get raped, men get domestic abuse, men face gender discrimination etc.
