I only watch boring films in an empty theater hall on any date. What is the regret here?

Big wedding. I know many girls have dream weddings and attire, but I had none. I wanted to get married to him, that's all. My husband and I wanted a court marriage, but nobody was on the boat with us. So, that's the last time I gave into emotional blackmail. Guess what? The wedding didn't go as planned; there were issues, my mom cried, and I consoled her even though I was so pissed at people who managed to ruin the day for her because it was her dream; I did all that circus solely for her. Then there was this relative who came to help to change my attire for the next tradition, told me that my marriage wouldn't last long with my attitude instead of Deergha sumangali bhava 😄 This was eleven years ago.

Update: another regret

My theist past. I was not a typical believer like my family members but a defensive, diehard one. Fueled mainly because my mother, a Sanskrit teacher, hoarded our book collection with Hindu scriptures for her teaching reference (translated versions), Puranas, Vedas, Narayaniyam, two Ramayanas and whatnot... I was pretty obsessed with them. Looking back, all my childhood and teenage years were filled with those books and a few comic books and magazines. There were Homer's Odyssey and Sherlock Holmes books my mom bought us to read, which I never bothered to open. When I went to boarding school, I still managed to stick to religion-related texts like Kadha sarith sagaram. I wish I had read other classics and literature, science, or even fanfictions like normal teenagers do. If I had known I would become an atheist eventually, I wouldn't have wasted too much time of my growing-up phase on those.

I have many but to keep it light

  • I regret coming back to the forum during Covid. I’m once again addicted.
  • I also regret and very much ashamed to admit that I’ve written a fan-fiction for the show Pratigya. I even found the main lead attractive. Fcuking ew.
  • I also regret every fan fiction where I wrote your instead of you’re.
  • I regret blindly supporting Gurmeet in JDJ only to be brought to shame by his peacock performance.
  • I regret dedicating a very long and thirsty appreciation thread for Gurmeet only to have the moderator close it straight away because another AT had been made. I’ll never forgive her.

To say the movie was boring is an understatement. The theatre was full. I had to sit through those horrible 2-3 hours because my date was a huge Hrithiku fan
