The two situations are not comparable.
Riding without a helmet is endangering oneself.
Throwing something out of a moving car is littering and can potentially harm pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcyclists, and even other vehicles.
Riding a motorcycle without a helmet is the law. If the law were enforced consistently or equitably, I would be all for her receiving a ticket.
However, it tends to be a loosely enforced law. At least, in my experience, Bombay cops are usually lackadaisical about it. They don't intervene unless the motorcyclist rides recklessly or they feel they can extort a couple.
Also, if people don't cast a second glance when most people ride without a helmet but are all up in arms when they see a celebrity do it, it's a level of hypocrisy as well.
Recording someone without their permission to call them out is self-righteous, and she, too, deserves to be recorded and called out similarly.
But we're all hypocrites, right? Anyone faster than us is a maniac, anyone slower than us is an idiot, and only we know how to drive. I have not found a single person immune to the hypocrite's road rules.
