There is a section in IF called Love and Friendship forum, maybe certain things you can ask there. There is a bigger audience there for these kind of enquiries.
In my opinion what this means,
She is smothering, by overdoing the love and care and what have you.
But again, you might find more experts to deduce this on the other section of IF.
I think it's great that you're a giver, because you mean to help and to see someone else flourish, but in the long run that can be to the detriment of both ends (hence the overwatering metaphor). The person in front of you drowns in habits of receiving while you get drained. Sometimes you need to gradually set boundaries.
I guess it means you're too giving for your own good.
