Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t Kathak something that is learnt and practiced for years? Sonam probably took a few weeks workshop and decided she was good to go.

Still doesn't come close to her maatha phod dance in PRDP title track!

Yes it is. I learnt it for 3 years & I was still a beginner. My Guruji grew up learning it. It’s definitely a dance that like all other classical dances, requires to be learnt for many years before you’re seen as “adequate.” And you’re probably right, i THINK these BW actresses take lessons from Pandit Birju Maharaj for some months & then think they’re great esp a Sonam!!! Once Kat spoke about how good PC was at dancing when they attended Kathak lessons & how bad she was. 😆 And now I am inspired to rejoin Kathak!!! Been many moons & I’ve Sonam of all people, to thank for. 😆😆
