Don't know how I missed out on this gem.

It's such a special film...the performance by Sanya Malhotra is captivating, to say the least...I personally think it's her best performance to date.

The best part? The writing is sharp and witty, offering moments of levity amidst the somber subject matter.

Special mention to Sheeba Chaddha, she is outstanding in the film.

Has anyone seen it?

At times, I felt the energy of the main character was infectious...it was hard to resist her attitude.

Sanya Malhotra's brilliant depiction of the emotions of vulnerability, strength, and rebellion left me wanting more!

Highly recommended!

I only liked it for 1 hour or so and after that it became boring. Still Sanya was so good in it.

My favourite scene was the one where Sandhya confronted Sayani Gupta's character and the dialogue between the two...the latter's breaking down and saying you never really understood ur husband was heartbreaking.

Throughout the film I really wished they had given a face to her husband 😆

I think it was deliberate.

The director felt that showing the husband's face would distract from the central focus of the story, which is Sandya's journey toward self-discovery and empowerment.

By not revealing his face, the audience is forced to focus on Sandhya's emotions and reactions to her husband's death. It also adds an element of mystery to the story, leaving viewers wondering about the true nature of their relationship. Furthermore, it highlights how women in patriarchal societies are often defined by their relationships with men. By not giving Sandhya's husband a face or identity, it emphasizes how she must find her own identity outside of her marriage.

I really liked that scene when she sneaked out with her friend to eat gol gappas while pretending that she had a stomach infection 😆 But I would say her in laws were very supportive.

Both these girls are such good performers, much better than some of the mainstream actresses.
