So the film is fighting to be average not to be Hit. And some are saying its already a Hit
It's still pacing 15-20% ahead JJJ daily. So I am guessing 110-115 Cr for BOI. 125-130 Cr for Taran.
if 130 it might get semi hit tag 😀from everyone except BOI; at least it’s not a floppy tag 🤗Originally posted by: semantic.error

There are probably people who aren't "able to digest" Ranbir's success with Brahmastra...however the way the importance of the boxoffice income (especially the domestic net one) has increased for labeling the succes of a movie, makes those numbers prone to manipulation. The audience (and even professional analysts) can be duped.
That's why I dislike that kind of concentration on those numbers and try to show how different they are handled and thrown at the audience.
But there is no other objective way of judging the success of a movie. Box office has been the only way for a long long time.
A different perspective - I feel like some portals purposefully under report numbers because they are desperate to bring down some stars and some genre of movies
BOI is a classic example. Those guys (who cant even write a typo free report anymore) hate anything besides massy masala entertainers and keep on trying to kill any other genre that might succeed. They started TJMM reporting with a statement like 'this is an important movie to know whether this genre will work anymore on the BO' - it sounded fishy right then where they were once again trying to push their agenda that only 'larger than life movies work'
What makes me wonder is let’s assume the budget is 170 cr or anything over 150. And most of it contributed to’ Ranbir’s fees ( 50cr +)
However, why would Ranbir charge that much when he should know better than all if us that the genre itself can’t gross more than 150 at best and charging that much would lead to the film being flop?
Also, the film itself didn’t require him to work that much hard e.g. losing / putting on weight or doing some extra ordinary stunts etc
Why would he be the sole reason for the movie tanking by charging outrageous amount causing another flop to be in his kitty? Esp when BW is struggling & clutching at straws to survive?!
Doesn’t make sense!
Unless ofcourse the producers wanted to make some black money white to evade taxes lol

According to luv ranjan, Ranbir has not charged any fees for tjmm.
I think Bhushan was just inflating the budget.

That's what I think since a while...that some movies are just 'used' to launder money (not caring at all for the Hindi filmindustry or any stars)...and I also think that it isn't the 'underworld' who is doing it...and not all production houses are doing it.
I often have wondered, what, e.g., happened with the tonnes of drugs found on the ships in Adani's port(s)... or in lorries...or in basements...
This movie with an initial budget of 80 cr (which would make it a successful movie with the money still coming in) may become a flop now because the production house declares a budget of more than the double!!! (hinting - in addition - at an enormous fee given to Ranbir). Doesn't THAT sounds fishy???
It could be interesting to make a study about some other movies... and reflecting on who would have an interest in damaging the Hindi filmindustry while still making money out of the 'failures'.
