Not the same director...and there are many stories to tell without being the same...it's a film-genre...romcoms, biopics, war movies etc. are genres, too. And the US Cinema -since years - makes big bucks with Marvel movies...ah yes and did with James Bond and MIssion Impossible ones...

I think it's ok if Sid Anand doesn't direct War 2. Variation is always interesting. Moreover, the writing is paramount and any other capable director can helm the project.

I hope it flops

It's like the over saturation of horror comedy. Stree worked because of Raj & DK infusing humour, concept of concept with horror and getting exceptional actors on board, and that went on and on till they came down to Bhoot Police with Arjun Kapoor (though, the kichkandi concept and using horror tales real to rural India instead of the usual chudail and jaadu tona was smart)

Yeh baat alag hai that Pathaan itself isn't a major groundbreaking movie and it's just SRK and love for SRK that's keeping it afloat, warna it's 2023 version of Main Hoon Naa

And we have missed action movie for a long time, so they are gonna make these till another Radhe happens and audience give up on the genre.
