At least 20 crore for it to generate this weekend hopefully, then it could balance out it's budget quota 👍🏼

What’s with the hatred for Karthik here? Can we be a little objective and just keep our criticism to only the movie and his acting in the movie please instead of pulling down his entire career?

Knew this was going to happen after everyone started hyping up Karthik to the skies 🤣

IMO it depends on what everyone’s idea of his stardom was. I do feel that his PR went overboard after BB2 and were subtly calling him a superstar and savior of Bollywood as it was one of the handful of movies that did so well. He’s not a superstar. His name alone is not enough to pull audiences to the theaters. But I wouldn’t say he’s completely devoid of any stardom. BB2 was a massive success and it was his second to last movie, people still do associate him with it and I’m sure his PR will work on pushing Shehzada aside and focusing on BB2. That’s how the game works. A lot depends on his next movie. If that one succeeds everyone will forget about Shehzada. But if that one flops too everyone will forget about BB2. Him and his PR won’t be able to milk BB2 after two flops in a row.

Dear, I'm sure that THIS isn't something I want to open...can't be a regular link to watch the movie as it is still in theatres...I've no problem to wait for regular streaming 😊

I feel sorry for Kartik...already wished that he hadn't put his money into this remake when I read he did.

The 'Boycott phenomenon' is just as contagious for the core as well as the 'assumed fringe'.

The risk-taking with money & funding come from 'the conglomerate production houses' ...

We are in full agreement that KA has 'a few' more chances, bearing in mind he wisely chose to forego a payment 👍🏼

Kartik's next movie is a love story with Kiara (release scheduled for June)...it may have an original script as the writer wrote the script for the Marathi biopic about a physician (a female one, 19th century, doing Western medecine) - Anandi Gopal.

Forego a payment for all his future films? I don’t think he’s in a position to that. Shehzada was an exception because apparently the movie went over budget and this was Kartik’s way of helping the cost. In return they credited him as a producer. He can’t continue to work for free. Unless … he has a lot of brand endorsements. If he makes good money from his brands and has his eyes more on stardom than money then he might take that calculated risk and work without a fee just to raise his own stature.

Good to see that KA wants his co-produced movie to succeed ... 👍🏼

But any opinions on this 'Boycott Bollywood' trend that still exist ?

Opening is definitely low but let's wait for opening day numbers of next two releases (Selfiee & TJMM). It may not look that bad then...
