She wasn't "overpowered" nor was she "overshadowed"...that also seems a rather (negatively) biaised observation. Dimple's role was the strongest of the supporting roles, but Deepika definitely was a leading actress and played her role perfectly.

She got a rather meaty role. Her one thigh flashing leg kick > my career.

Her bikini alone got free publicity for Pathaan. 🤣

She has proven one can look hot, give hits regardless of age or marital status and DESPITE negativity, propaganda against her. Her silence has paid off. Her fortitude in face of unprecedented slander in drugs case, has paid off.

It has also proven audience will watch a film if it is entertaining and slanderous propaganda does not matter in long run, especially in case of established, much loved stars.

People mock Deepika for mental health issues too. She could have spoken on her ordeal but kept silent. Her silence has paid off. Good for her.

what to talk? This girl has left nothing to talk about. Starting with Gehraiyaan, she's been showing all she could😉

She is def one of the reason for movies success. She did the best with what was given to her, her role and character could have been better.
