What went wrong with Cirkus?

It is entirely on Rohit. He keeps recycling the same 4-5 jokes, ideas and that one oversaturated color palette that he has. And this time there was no franchise factor to cover up for it. Ranveer has never really had any box office pull, he does value add a part of a package with bigger names, but he doesn't do much on his own.
