It is sheer blasphemy to compare any post 90s actor to Madhuri or Sri or Hema type icons.

Not a single actress post MD has been a complete package.

Deepika is nowhere in comparison to MD as an actor nor has her expressions or dance skills or voice modulation. Even as a newcomer MD never had such a flat voice and weak dialogue delivery as DPad.

I am not even a Madhuri fan but any other model compared to her or labeled a complete package is sheer blasphemy.

I think question is about actors. Otherwise in terms of courage and using stardom for good, I would rate Deepika leagues ahead for speaking on mental health and gender and in general I find her very strong and go getter or progressive type.

But onscreen or in terms of talent I rate Madhuri leagues ahead. I do not judge Deepika's beauty harshly. I love her height and swan like svelte figure and large doe eyes, dimples in cheeks. She never had a pimply, oily skin like Madhuri nor looked older or mature sooner like Madhuri. But yes Madhuri had fuller figure. I find Deepika more original compared to MD who clearly copied and modeled herself after Madhubala and Suchitra Sen and copied their hair style, smiling style.

Only part I disagree is this ! That I think there are just better grooming techniques and skin care available now. Lot of these actresses see top dermatologist. So it is really not fair to compare what actresses skin looks like now compared to the 90s. You can even go in with the camera and edit the pimples. That is how much more advanced the technology is.

Other then that I agree with everything you stated. Deepika’s eyes and dimples def do outdue Madhuri’s.

I agree with techniques available now but Deepika generally had a better skin than Madhuri except for skin lightening which she got done when she entered films.

Madhuri had bad skin like Padmini Kolhapure. At that time also one could see difference in clear, porcelain skin of actors like Farha and Manisha compared to acne prone, oily skin of Padmini and Madhuri.

Madhuri has never looked youthful or girlish. She had a mature, womanly look always. Unlike Deepika who can look really young, innocent and childlike especially when she smiles, thanks to her dimples and big eyes. Deepika has never really looked mature like MD.

Perhaps this is why Madhuri was sexier than Deepika or better suited for hot item numbers and suggestive songs and scenes like Choli ke peeche kya hai, Dhak Dhak karne laga whereas Deepika cannot fit in such songs thanks to her face and her generally flat body and lack of curves unlike Madhuri who had curves and weight in all right places.

Madhuri ka PR hyperactive ho gaya inn dino 😅 Kidding, I think it's really unfair to DP to be put in competition with Madhuri😅

Comparing Madhuri with Deepika is like comparing Deepika with Kriti Sanon. The only competitor for Madhuri is Sridevi . None of the actress will get same level of passionate fandom ever again in India.

The pure Indian look, sensuality in each moves, and the expressions in dances,Madhuri in prime was effortlessly a star. Deepika is undoubtedly gorgeous, have model like figure, grace and sassiness but in pre social media era popularity, acting, dancing she will not come close to Madhuri.
