Bachchans snub Ash again - Page 2

This is going a bit overboard.

This isn’t a Bachchan family podcast. This is just Navya trying to make herself relevant in pop culture. I doubt there was a deliberate plan to exclude Aishwarya from family events. She’s been traveling a lot promoting her own movie anyway. Besides, does anyone really think Navya who is really trying to become famous would turn down any opportunity to interview the most famous female in the Bachchan family and get extra publicity for her podcast?

There’s a lot to criticize the Bachchans for. This isn’t one of them IMO.

Never said Ash has to be part of the podcast. If you're following the podcast, you'll know every family member is discussed apart from Aishwarya. That's struck as very odd to me.

Over zealous fans going overboard, giving benefit of doubt maybe Aish was not available to do this podcast. Whoever was available Navya invited them. or if this was only about blood relations then Aish is not biologically related to her.

I still don’t think they’re purposely shunning her. Specially not the image conscious Bachchans. It is possible she simply asked not to be discussed. It is also possible there are logistic reasons her name cannot be used. Maybe legally it will amount to the podcast profiting off of her name. I don’t know, I’m just thinking out loud. But wasn’t her own sister in law (her brother’s influencer wife) was asked not to use her name on her insta?

I haven’t heard the podcast but I think the OP is saying that like the last one , and I think there have been two ? Ash has not been mentioned at all unlike the other members. She’s not saying that Ash should be physically present there. I heard bits from the first podcast and they discussed or had something to say about everyone except Aishwarya and even Aaradhya I think. I vaguely remember there was something about actors in the family and whether they discuss the profession and Jaya said ‘ when Abhishek started acting ‘ and straight went to ‘ and now with Agastya ‘ , Ash was just missing from the whole equation.
There are differences in the family and it’s all obvious tbh.

OP - Yaar, nahi pat ti aapas mein. Itna obvious hain. Par thoda boring ho gaya hai even though I would gladly diss them. How many of these podcasts are going to be there ? Maybe we can wait for the whole thing to get over , make one mega ‘ review ‘ thread and then discuss rather than dissect every episode. Agle episode mein agar bhoole bhatke kisi ne Ash ka naam le liya toh gaaliya padengi tumhe. 😆

Yes I got that when she replied to me. But as I responded in the previous page, I still don’t think this was an intentional snub by the Bachchans. I’m repeating myself but this could have been for logistical reasons or per Ash’s own request. Bachchans are a lot of things, but the biggest thing they are is very protective of their family image. Shweta has been separated for years now and yet they are not even acknowledging that publicly. No way they’d openly snub Ash without a solid reason beyond just in law dramas.

Navya's relation with her aunt is more formal compared to direct close relation with her maternal grandparents and uncle since childhood. Also if Ash does not like her bhabhi using her name or pics to promote self as influencer then why should rest of Bachchans use her name?

It is possible even Navya does not want to come across as using Ash's name to make headlines or get more attention for podcast.

I did not see anything problematic here. I still talk more informally about my nani, nana, mama, cousins but keep self restrained when discussing my mami. It is normal to have such respectful distance and not take names casually for relations like mami, chachi, tai, fufa, mausa who are not biologically related to us.

His family's name, influence, wealth and power as well as his own proper behaviour. Abhishek had never been abusive or criminal unlike other industry brats.

He was unmarried. Better to have married him than some criminal or been homewrecker and second wife of some industry brat or rich businessman.

Shrima Rai was doing shady deals using Ash's name to get freebies from brands. That's different from a family just discussing their dynamics, and each and every family member and their traits being discussed apart from Ash - so that's really odd to me, and I don't see why Ash would have asked to not use her name (even if that's the case, it's even more weird.. it's just a harmless podcast, why would she care?)

Also yeah, like you I can give them the benefit of doubt, but considering the series of events unfolding, this seems more than just a simple coincidence, which is why I am not brushing this aside as an innocent mistake.
