The irony.....Alia should say no to act opposite Aamir because he is way older than her...in real life....but Alia can romance a shaadishuda man like Ranveer onscreen....woh bhi to real life hai....why are morally responsible people who cringe at the age difference not cringing at the marital status of these stars......

In an idealistic world where everything is fair, of course I wouldn’t have a problem if there’s a big age gap between a married couple. However Bollywood is far from being idealistic. The problem with casting an actress opposite an actor old enough to be her father is the underlying misogyny. It’s basically cementing the ideology that actresses have a limited shelf life to play a sexy desirable love interest whereas men can act in any character no matter how old they get.

This ad is a little different because both are contracted with the bank and probably didn’t have much choice here. But the creative team could have come up with a different concept. Still, the concept of this ad is very praiseworthy. That part is solid.

all superstars are like that. look at south indian actors too.

Vivek is a misogynist. He is bashing this ad for questioning concept of girl leaving her home to move in with in laws and having boy move in with in laws instead.

Right wingers are against this ad for purely patriarchal reasons.
