i know he doesn’t promote outside the Tamil belt. But your are making a pan India film. Getting your actors to dub in different languages. Hindi belt is a huge market .If not for the business aspect of the film, promote what you’ve been making for the last 25 years. It’s your dream project , why would you not want everyone to see it ? What Bahubali did for Telugu industry, PS 1 would have done for the Tamil industry. This is a little baffling. If not Mani, the stars can be asked to promote the film in other belts. As much as I love Aishwarya , I really think the onus of the Hindi belt lied solely on her. She can give solo interviews , appear on multiple shows. All other south actors are doing their bit on their home turf.
I totally agree, the exposure and the revenue can change an industry, hollywood is so massive because they work globally, of course they dont promote but then they are the pioneers in cinema so have the advantage. look at how koreans have made everything from their skin care, drama to pop and cinema a global phenomena, because of bahubali, films like pushpa, karthikeya, sita ramam got a push. new comers may get more exposure, budgets to oppurtunities will increase
mani personality wise and generation wise does not publicize, even aish but it doesnt work like that, they have to adapt with times, it is not like everybody enjoys publicity, they just do it as a neccesaary evil.
they did some last minute promotions even in other south languages,
they are just fine with tamil collections and think of others as bonus
