Talk about misrepresenting someone’s words. I never said Ranveer’s misogynistic crap is OK. I said the general public seem to have more tolerance for his crap vs Ranbir’s crap because he has built a very different image for himself. That of someone who treats his wife like gold, whereas Ranbir has and continues to fail to even have simple respect for his partner. Again, as I said above he shouldn’t have made that joke. Yes his response will come across as sexual harassment regardless of what his intentions may or may not have been. But the narrative that you guys present is of a situation where Ranveer randomly asks a female journalist for a love bite whereas reality is he was responding to a request for a “byte” [sound byte]. Put the whole context forward next time.

The fact of the matter is that a lot of meaning gets lost in translation

The Mahabharat translation is the biggest example of it

On more mundane example is me trying to talk to my patients in Kannada after attending a few Kannada speaking classes and failing miserably at it 😆

They are not able to grasp it completely because of how "pure" it is. Not the normal day-to-day Kannada dialect that they use. So, I am going to give him the benefit of doubt
