But yes I must say I saw a good turnout in a Tier 2/3 city in UK..usually not many people come out to watch Indian movies here but yesterday..almost 50 percent Indians were there..and because it’s a small city..everyone knows everyone.. it was like a giant watch party 😂😂 I think the kids were enjoying the movie..so probably that’s their target audience..that families come with kids to watch this..that’s why the level of dialogues were SO DAMN juvenile ..it almost makes me believe that the dialogues ruined the whole movie for me..it’s such a wasted opportunity actually..a great concept ..but poor research about Astras..I mean I would love to see more of the backstory of that..just absolutely inconsistent execution and the worst love story I have seen in recent times…yes the VFX is good ..probably the best for Indian standards..which dint seem like it from the trailer..
I feel this is also an issue with Ayan..he starts off well and then just doesn’t know what to do with the movie and it veers off..I did not like YJHD for the same reason..just found it dumb after a point..and for a project like Brahmastra..I just cannot imagine what someone like a Bhansali or SS Rajamouli would do!! Also IMO Ranbir and Alia both looked very confused and lost and even so weirdly theatrical ..I guess they used to burst out laughing after they gave their shots..it’s the other actors who were so good actually..and brought some gravitas in this dumb movie..
